I looked at the clock at Alfea and grinned as I heard the bell ringing. “Okay girls,” said my teacher, Professor Wizgiz. “I suggest by next week, you should all have your homework back. Remember that if you’re not here or your studies, you will be sent to Ms. Faragonda’s office to remove your powers for the next of two weeks.”

“Yes Professor Wizgiz.” My class replied and they headed out of the class, into the school hallway.

“Hey Musa, wait up!” I heard a voice call my name from behind me.

I shuffled her books in my arms and walked a little faster, eager to get outside and read a book under my favorite cherry tree and wait for her boyfriend Riven. I also wanted to get away from the person who told me to wait.

Riven was coming back from his mission with the Specialists today. It had been two months since Riven and I departed and I felt pain in the pit of my stomach for the first time, missing Riven every single day, until now.

A blonde headed girl rushed to my side and laughed. “You thought you could get away from me could you?” she asked. “Ah well, Stella.” I sighed. “I would like some privacy to myself please.”

Stella rolled her hazel eyes at her. “Yeah, right, I mean, you’re just going to hang around while me and the girls wait for the guys? I never thought you’d get away from it.” I blushed. “I’m not running away from anyone. I just like some privacy. My own privacy.”

“Come on, Muse. Bloom wants to talk to you and the winx so she asked me to get you.” I sighed heavily. “Fine, I’ll come.” I grumbled and followed Stella to our dorms.

“Musa’s here!” Stella grinned at the four girls sitting in my dorm. “Were you going to run off, Musa?” a brown headed girl Layla grinned at me with green sparkly eyes. She was my best friend.

I rolled my eyes. “Suppose you can say that.” I said. “I need to take some time alone. What do we need to talk about Bloom?” I asked a redheaded girl sitting by her bed.

“I just got a call from Brandon,” Bloom explained. “And he said he’s coming which is what we all know. But I think he also said that Riven wasn’t going to come along with him…” Bloom bit her lip.

I blinked. What? I thought. Riven’s not coming with the Specialists? “Why not?” I asked stubbornly. Bloom looked around the room for a second. “He has…” Bloom trailed off and stared at her hands, her light blue eyes fell down. “He has another girlfriend.”

I felt something crush my heart. I could hear my heart beating loudly in my ears. My muscles in my legs were locked tight and my feet felt numb. Was I hearing this right? “You mean…he cheated on me?” I could feel my hands quiver with anger and hurt.

A hazelnut headed girl stood up and walked towards me. “Come on, sweetie. I’ll talk with you outside.” She whispered and held onto one of my trembling wrists as we walked out of the dorms and outside.

I sat down on a bench, feeling angry tears roll down my pale cheeks from my dark azure eyes. “Flora, is it true?” I asked the hazelnut headed girl. “What Bloom said…was it true?” The hazelnut headed girl, Flora, sort of nodded. “I would think so.” “Why did Riven have to do that to me? He has me.” I felt tears roll down my cheeks. “He doesn’t get it does he?”
“Well…” Flora said and I looked up at her. “Riven is a difficult guy. You and him…you two have so much in common and you both were meant for each other too. You can handle him quite well, you know that Musa?”

I huffed through my tears. “Ha! Like when he yelled at Helia for wrecking his laptop and I had to talk to him and there was the time when he got really mad at Nabu on the ship when he thought that he was going to kiss me when I told him that we were not.” I said.

“True.” Flora said and sighed as a light breeze blew their way. “I think I should go back to my dorm.” I muttered and Flora nodded. “I’ll tell Helia to tell Riven that you know okay?”

“Thanks Flora.” I said and hugged her before I walked away.

I collapsed tired onto my bed and heard the door close lightly as I fell into a dreamless sleep.
                                                

Bloom saw the Specialists’ plane landing outside of the gates of Alfea and Bloom smiled as the Specialists came out of the ship. All except for Riven. “Where is Riven, Sky?” Bloom asked a blonde headed guy, which was her boyfriend.

“He’s in the ship.” Sky shrugged and smiled as leaned down to kiss Bloom on the lips. “It’s good to see that you’re still in one piece.” Bloom smiled as she hugged Sky. Sky chuckled. “I see that you are too. Where’s Musa?” “She’s inside sleeping.” Bloom sighed.

Flora, who was sitting by the benches with Helia, looked worriedly at her boyfriend. “What’s wrong, Flora?” Helia asked taking her hand. “Musa knows.” Flora explained looking into Helia’s crystal blue eyes. “She’s angry, hurt and was crying about it.”

Helia hugged Flora, sighing deeply. “Musa’s a tough one and Riven too. Those two are always in fights, but Riven suspected this was going to happen. He can’t come out of the ship right now.” “He’s in the ship?” Flora asked. “He has to come and talk to Musa.” Flora begged.

“I know, I know Flora,” Helia’s muttered. “Riven knows what he’s doing.” “No, he doesn’t know what he’s doing.” Flora disagreed.

“Riven had just broken Musa’s heart Helia!”
                                                

I heard a small noise coming from my window on my side of my room with my sonic hearing. I opened my eyes; my long moonlight blue strands of hair had fallen into my eyes and I noticed a dark figure outside.

I jumped out of my bed and almost screamed for my Believix when I realized that I saw dark purple magenta hair on the figure’s head with violet eyes that reflected back at her. I looked away, my hair swished lightly across my face.

“Go away Riven.” I said. “I can’t.” Riven said and tapped the window again. I clenched my hands into fists and stared into Riven’s violet eyes.

“I said, go away Riven.” I growled. “You have no right to come and apologize to me for what you’ve done.”

Riven opened the window himself with his skills or whatever he did at Red Fountain that I didn’t know, and jumped inside with a low thud. “I broke up with her okay? I was drunk that night, that’s all Musa. And I didn’t know what I was doing.” Riven reached for my arm but I pulled away.

“Breaking up and making out with other girls then, right? You think you’re so tough, huh?” I asked furiously. “Musa, it’s not like that!” Riven gritted his teeth together at what he said. “It’s most definitely like that, Riven!” I argued. “I’ve been waiting for you for as long as I can remember when you and I parted our ways! I know that you were dating that girl…whoever she is. I can’t believe you jumped at a girl like her!”

“Her name’s Rosalie Swan.” Riven explained.

I flung my hands in the air with fury in my eyes. I felt her eyes burn like they had small flames in her pupils. “Like I would want to know that question from you Riven,” I spat. “I’m not stupid okay?!” I shouted.

“Just…give me another chance Musa. I’ll be different.” Riven begged. “How?” I snapped, narrowing my eyes. “I know you’re not going to change from who you are, Riven.” “Musa, please…I will–” “Get out.” I said. “Don’t you ever come near me again okay?!” I shouted. Riven tried reaching for my hand but I didn’t let him.

“Come on Muse. I-I’ll listen to you. Just don’t break my heart okay?”

“You broke my heart first. Now it’s my turn to break yours.” I told him and felt tears running down my cheeks. Riven looked down and walked out of my dorm quietly, shutting the door behind him. I sobbed quietly and wiped I tears away.

It was the last time I was going to see him.

I won’t regret what I said to him. Not now…not ever. I thought as she turned on my iPod to listen to one of my songs ‘Leave Get Out’ by JoJo and walked to my window to look up at the silver moon that shone on the green grass, and the billions of stars that lit up the dark blue sky.

I knew I wasn’t going to have a future with Riven but live alone, with no one but my Dad to love me.

I started singing softly.

I saw, in the moon, a fragment of my Mum smiling down at me. “Be strong Musa.” She told me, her voice was soft and gentle. I smiled up at her as her face disappeared from within.
