Rosalina sighed impatiently tapping her pencil at the edge of her desk. Her Potions and Spells class seemed to drag on forever. As the teacher drowned on about how important something was, Rosalina couldn’t help but watch the clock. In about five minutes the bell would ring for lunch. Suddenly the door creaked open and the six girls from a couple of days ago stepped in. “Sorry we’re late, the nurse just now told us we could go to class.” The girl named Charlotte said. The teacher merely nodded and gestured for them to take their seats. The lunch bell sang and Rosalina immediately jumped out of her seat. She gathered her books and walked over to the girls. “Hey, I was thinking that maybe you guys might want to sit with us today?” She said biting her lower lip. “We’d love to,” Charlotte said again and smiled but the others looked a little angry. Rosalina walked out of the classroom to hear the bickering, but there was only one thing she could make out for sure, “It was nice of them to invite us! Stop being like this! You don’t even know them.” Charlotte’s voice faded away as Rosalina joined her friends.

Sapphire sat down at her usual table to discover it had grown. The other six girls that they had rescued had joined them. The one with purple eyes listened to the one whose name was Violet talk. The one with dark blue eyes had her earphones in and wasn’t really paying attention to anything. Lilly, Megan and Julie were giggling loudly about something and the oldest looking girl was sitting looking awkward. “So it was pretty lucky that we found you in time.” Brook said trying to make conversion.

Kristina smirked at that remark. Even through her music she could still hear the girl’s conversion. “Well, I guess.” Charlotte said the usual warmth and kindness gone from her voice. Kristina saw the girl with the hawk like eyes smirk. “You guess? I think you’d be dead if it wasn’t for us.” She said. Kristina dropped her fork and glared at her. She gritted her teeth to keep from yelling. “We could have handled it.” Kristina said coolly. “Yea, right.” The girl named Elena mumbled sarcastically. “Just because you mumble doesn’t mean we can’t hear you.” Violet said rolling her eyes. “Are you guys mad at us for saving your butts?” Rosalina asked glaring. “What’s there to be mad about? If the roles were reversed, I’m sure we’d be saving your butts. We were just the ones who were brave enough to actually go on the mission.” Jasmine said looking smugly at Rosalina. Rosalina was really starting to hate these girls, they were so rude. “We shouldn’t fight about this, we should just say thank you to them for helping us.” Glitter said nervously looking back and forth between to girls. “Are you siding with them Glitter?” Violet asked a little hurt. “Kind of,” She responded unsurely. “Traitor.” Julie mumbled stabbing her applesauce with her fork. “I agree with Glitter.” Megan said earning death glares from Julie and Lilly. “Well nice to see who our real friends are.” Lilly said still glaring at Megan. “You guys started it.” Sapphire said crossing her arms. “No we didn’t! You’re the one who started it by saying that we’d be dead if you weren’t there!” Kristina argued yanking her headphones out of her ears. “Which is true.” Rosalina aggressively pointed out. “Is not!” Jasmine practically shouted, she knew she sounded immature but she didn’t care. “Whatever.” Charlotte said, speaking for the first time since the argument had broken out and picked up her tray moving to a close empty table with Jasmine, Kristina, Lilly, Julie, and Violet following.

When lunch had ended the twelve girls found themselves in the same class again. Jasmine sighed unhappily. She really didn’t want to spend another minute with these girls. The intercom beep on and Ms. Faragonda’s voice came through. “Kristina, Jasmine, Charlotte, Violet, Lilly, Julie, Megan, Glitter, Rosalina, Elena, Sapphire, Brooke please come to my office.” The intercom clicked off and Jasmine groaned. Not only were they called once again to Ms. Faragonda’s office but now they had to go with the jerks who rescued them. The twelve girls shuffled out of the classroom and walked to Ms. Faragonda’s office. The crack to large door ajar but Ms. Faragonda motioned for them to come in. As they slowly walked in Ms. Faragonda began to explain. “Now girls, seeing how well you all did with Valtor, we decided to send you on another mission. Jasmine groaned and rolled her eyes. “Wait, I don’t want to go up against Valtor again.” Kristina said nervously voicing her concern. “Oh no, you’re freshmen, not that qualified. As you all know last year the Winx brought back what was thought to be the last earth fairy. But, we have discovered that there are many more earth fairies on Earth. For example, Jasmine. She is an Earth Fairy, and was unknown until this year. For this reason I am sending you to New York. There are ten teenagers there thought to be fairies. Kristina, Lilly and Sapphire, you will be in the 10th grade at Apple High. Brooke, Glitter, Charlotte, Megan, and Violet you will be 11th grader there. Julie, Rosalina, and Elena you will be 12th graders at this school. And Jasmine, you will be a student teacher here. You will leave tomorrow, and I will be sending some Specialists with you. I think I will send James, Bryan, Blake, Jett, Colton, Michael, Johnny, Paul, Connor, Luke and Tyler. This is an important mission. You leave tonight.” Ms. Faragonda finished and shooed the girls out before they could ask any questions. “Oh great!” Jasmine heard Kristine mumble, “What’s wrong?” She asked slowing her pace to match Kristina. “That’s the high school I would be at if I wasn’t here.” Kristina said looking distressed. “That’s weird, I’m from New York too.” . . . .

After a long ship ride and short sleep the group was steeping into their new school . . .

As Lilly opened the door of her homeroom, she was surprised. It was so . . . boring. So ordinary. Kristina and Sapphire happened to also be in her class. “This is so boring.” Lilly said looking around unimpressed. Kristina nodded, “Welcome to Earth school.” She said and took a seat by the window. Lilly’s classes passed in a blur. After homeroom she had English, Geometry (which she had a hard time with since just about all of it made no sense to her) Physical Education, Spanish, World History, Life Science, and Art. Between Physical Education and Spanish she had lunch. Lilly walked unsurely with Kristina looking around the room. She noticed that even though they were ahead of them Charlotte, Violet, and Julie all had the same lunch period as them, along with James, Blake, Jett, Johnny, and Paul. She sighed with relief. At least the wouldn’t be sitting alone. Then she realized that there were no empty tables anywhere. The cafeteria was jammed pack of people. “Hey you’re back!” A deep male voice said from behind them, Lilly screamed and Kristina turned around quickly scared that it was Valtor. Lilly saw Kristina sigh. Lilly relaxed a little. “I thought you went off to some fancy boarding school!” The guy shouted and Kristina smiled. “Ya well I guess I’m not the boarding school type.” She said then casted me a look. “This is my friend Lilly. And over there are some more of my friends. That’s Charlotte, Violet, Julie, James, Blake, Jett, Johnny, and Paul.” She said pointing people out. “Oh and this is Nick you guys.” She said gesturing to the tall guy standing behind her. “Well, we should go find a table.” She said inching away from him with the others following. “Hey there’s plenty of room at our table.” He said pointing behind him, “They’ll all be psyched to find out you’re here.” He said grabbing her by the wrist and practically dragging her other. She gestured with her head for them to follow.

As part of Professor Palladium's field trip to Black-Mud Swamp, the class must navigate from Black-Mud Swamp to the clearing in the Gloomy-Wood Forest by listening to nature and without using any magic. While the girls find their way to the school, the boys from Redfountain have been assigned to escort the fugitive troll captured in Gardenia to Magix city for trial. Unable to let their plans come into the open, the Trix plot to rescue the troll...
