Sapphire let a deep breath out when she saw the oldest looking girl slowly take a step towards them. This seemed to trigger a chain reaction and the three girls slowly began to walk towards them. Elle and Rose had managed to get to the other side of Valtor and stood behind the other four girls who slowly backed up next to them. Valtor laughed. “You think an additional four girls can stop me?” When no one answered he laughed again. “No one can stop me. By switching sides you have just sealed your fate to die like everyone else.” He said. The girl with dark blue eyes stepped forward. “You’re a stupid man. The Winx beat you once, they can do it again.” She said and bravery coloured her voice. The man laughed so evilly it caused everyone to take a step back. “The Winx aren’t here! Do you think you can beat me?” he asked ruefully. The girl was about to answer but Sapphire quickly stepped in. “No we can’t, which is why we’re leaving.” She said and threw down the small transport ball Ms. Faragonda had given them. Rose, Elle, and Brook did too. In a matter of seconds they were sitting outside of Alfea coughing on the ground.
Charlotte felt dizzy. She worked hard to get a grip on reality. When her world finally stopped spinning she realized she was at Alfea. She looked to her right to see her rescuers then looked to the left to see her friends. When she finally stopped coughing, she sat up. Slowly everyone seemed to stand up and slowly make their way towards Alfea. When they burst through the doors, they were greeted by the Winx, the Specialists, all Charlotte’s teachers, including Ms. Faragonda, some of her fellow classmates who were screaming questions at them, causing a massive headache to form in Charlotte’s head. Finally she saw her brother. He rushed up to her and embraced her in a bear hug. She hugged him back and when he finally let her go she said, “I didn’t die . . .” Her brother didn’t look amused but before he could responded, someone, probably the nurse, was dragging her towards the clinic. As the reach the door a bright light greeted her.
Kristina was really starting to hate doctor offices. They sat them all down in a row of chairs in alphabetical order. Kristina discovered that her rescuers names were Rosalina, Sapphire, Brooke, and Elena. At first they were tortured by a stream of questions.
“What happened the day you lost contact with us?”
“Our ship was attacked by some huge flying thing. Kristina managed to punch something into the control board and we landed somewhat safely.” Charlotte answered.
“What happened when you were reunited with everyone else?”
“It was normal until me and my brother got into an argument and I followed him into the woods and we saw Valtor.” Kristina responded.
“What happened with Valtor?”
“Well, I didn’t know he was Valtor, so I might of mouth off to him making him mad.” Kristina said nervously.
“And then?”
“He hit her with a massive amount of black magic then somehow made the others disappear.” Jasmine said looking at the ground.
“Then what?”
“Well for the next few days we kind of split up, I don’t know what happened to the others, but he came to me asking me to change sides.” Glitter said not looking up.
“He did that for me.” Lilly said, speaking for the first time. “I said no.”
“Me too, but I . . . I said yes, because I was . . . I was tempted.” Megan said not looking up.
“I see, well we don’t have to go into who said yes and who said no. What happened after that?” The nurse asked gently.
“We found them and brought them back.” Rosalina said looking proudly at the nurse.
The nurse nodded. “Alright then, this light will let me know how badly you all are hurt.” She said holding a small flashlight. “Hold still.” She said and shinned the light slowly at each one of them. She frowned looking at the results on her computer. “I’m going to need everyone to stay here tonight except, Rosalina, Elena, Brooke, Sapphire, Glitter and Megan.” She said with a frown. “If you six could leave please, you are free to go.” She said and the six headed for the door. “Actually, I need you to go buy lunch and eat together, now. Some of you haven’t eaten in three days and others haven’t eaten in a day. Its important that you to eat.” She said. The girls nodded and open the door heading out. The nurse turned to the other girls. “As for you, I’m afraid that you can’t eat yet. The combination of being stranded for a week and being attacked by Valtor and other thing has made you weak. You can eat tomorrow, for now I would like you to rest.” She said gesturing towards a large room full of beds. The girls shuffled into the room, thank the nurse, and slowly drifted into a deep sleep.
Meanwhile in the Cafeteria
Megan picked at her food. She wasn’t really all that hungry, but she remembered what the nurse had said. She ate slowly. Every bite she seemed to have a harder time swallowing. “So, um, what are your names?” The girl with pink simmering eyes asked. Megan swallowed her food and choked out, “Megan.” She didn’t know why her voice was so hoarse. “Glitter,” Glitter said not looking up from the table. “What are your names?” Megan asked to be polite. “I’m Rosalina, but you can call me Rose, I’m from Chronimona.” The girl with pink eyes answered. “I’m Brooke, or Brook, I’m from Votropic.” The girl with the light pink hair said. “I’m Elena, or Elle, from Corithia.” the girl blonde hair with blue streaks in it said. “I’m Sapphire, or Skippy, I’m from Esquestia.” said the girl with hawk like eyes. She reminded Megan a little of Kristina. Megan sighed, dropping her fork, deciding that she wasn’t hungry. Glitter mimicked her and sighed. “Hey, you guys should eat.” said Elena with a concerned look on her face. “I’m not hungry.” Megan stated pushing up from her seat. “I’m going to my room.” She said with a turn and walked out of the cafeteria dumping her half eaten food along the way.
Glitter looked after her friend with concern. “What happened to you guys?” Rosalina asked when Megan was completely out of sight. Glitter sighed. She didn’t really want to talk about it. “I’d rather not talk about it. Let’s just say that some of us, well, some of us made a horrible and almost joined Valtor before you guys came.” Glitter said and now she had completely lost her appetite. She dropped her head to her hands at the memory. Elena patted her softly on the back. “Its okay, it’s over.” She said gently. Glitter let out a long breath. “I know, it’s just that,” she started looking up, “I wish I had the strength to resist him like some other people did. I feel so weak.” She said shaking her head sadly. Glitter pushed away from the table and walked out of the cafeteria.
Elena sighed watching Glitter walk out of the cafeteria. She shook her head and turned back to her friends. “I wish they’d open up a little more.” Rosalina commented. Elena nodded in agreement. “Well, they have been through a lot.” Elena said understandingly. “Well, I am extremely tired.” Brooke said plopping a fry into her mouth. “Me too.” Sapphire agreed. “Well, do you guys want to go back to our dorm?” Elena asked, she was ready to go to sleep also. “Yah,” The others chorused. The group got up and walked quickly towards their dorm. They past the massive stair case and rounded the corner. Elena hesitated as they past the nurse’s office. Elena thought about stopping in to check on the others girls but shook the thought and pushed on to her dorm. Rosalina fumbled through her pocket and grabbed her key.
Rosalina twisted the key into the lock and pushed the heavy wood door open. She flicked on the light and greeted her other two room mates, Monica and Rebecca. They were watching TV and they usually didn’t pay much attention to them. Rosalina personally couldn’t stand them. They were rude and arrogant, but for some reason today, they seemed to be really interested in Rosalina, Elena, Sapphire, and Brooke. “You saw Valtor?!” questioned Monica excitedly jumping up from the couch. “Yea,” mumbled Rosalina and the group pushed past the two girls and into Rosalina’s room. The two girls followed them. Rosalina quickly shut the door in their faces. She rolled her eyes and locked the door. She sighed and sat down on her bed, “Well this was a fun day.” Sapphire said sarcastically.
