Okay, I know it's my post but I was wondering how other people feel about this. I think Castiel will help Dean, and Ruby will help Sam, but only to a certain extent. I think they are both capable of using the boys for their own purposes if they have to - or maybe I'm being overly-suspicious! ;)

Castiel definitely cares for Dean more than he is willing to admit, and he cares about Sammy too; but I think he would be willing to protect Sammy more for Dean, than for Sammy. But I genuinely believe he cares for them a lot!

if it was old ruby i would've said her but since she changed i have to say Castiel because ruby seems to have changed a lot and she seems more dark then she did before . and plus castiel is more like a friend to Dean

cas always tries to help them...even in the season 6 finale where his mind was too fucked up he saved them...
