Elena had recently been struggling due to her parents death, after their car crashed into a lake. Thats when the first vampire comes in, Stephen saves her and leaves her in the hospital. A year or a couple months later she is found to finally meet him, as she does not remember him at all, she was completely passed out. Katherine had died (as they thought), by their father who was a vampire hunter who made a stop watch to track vampires, Stephen was having a romantic moment in bed with KATHERINE when her fangs came out and dug into his skin, his father came and took her and all the toher vampires away. Damon and Stephen, haven dranken her blood from previous times had gotten shot, trying to rescue Katherine. The next time they woke up they were no longer human, but vampires. 100 and more years later they found Elena. Thinking that Katherine was dead, they became found of Elena, not telling her the truth. Stephen didnt know Damon loved her, so Elena and Damon started to date. Vampires have many skills, they can hear from far away, smell blood from miles, run a second per a km and hypnotize them to whatever they would like. Damon had met Elena first however, before she called her parents to pick her up. She had gotten her memory of him talking to her and never knew about it. caroline, bonnie and matt were her best friends and her brother Jeremy and her aunt Jenna. More and more people soon come to be the weirdest of characters and not just vampires.
