The Vampire Diaries Question

how does the original witch (aka ester).... come back to life in season 3 ???

i have watched the series.... rebekha told elena that klaus kills his mother and they both bury her body....then how come klaus carries her body in the casket ??? did he not bury her... if the witch spirits kept her body safe...why did klaus do nothing about it ??? he knows if his mother came back...she will kill him...why does he have body in the first place ??? lil confused.....

It's never explained why Klaus kept her body. I can only guess it's because he wanted to keep his family whole, you know, with the exception of Michael. As for how she came back, it's cuz her friend Iyana preserved her body with a spell, only to be broken by the blood knot between Bonnie and her mom. They could only break the knot because they where descendants of Iyana.
