i saw the trailer and am really excited for the movie, buh havent read the books...r the books good? should i read em?

B) Yes! YOU HAVE GOT TO READ THE BOOKS! In the show, already just seen in the trailers, they've gotten rid of many important factors of the books! For example, a huge part of the story is Elena's gorgeous blonde hair, and in the trailers, she has dark, dark brown hair! If you like a good vampire story, you'll want to read the books.

100% yes you should read the books! if you thought the trailer for the tv series was good then you'll love them. plus, every time the books are better than the tv shows/films they model them after. the tv series are changing a lot of good things from the books and for you to appreciate the changes like new characters, or the look of the characters) you must read them. they're very exciting and funny in some places, with plenty of action. the characters are strong and you'llbe able to feel for them- they're that good. before twilight these were the books to get, so if you like this kind of thing you should read them.
