I've been quite disappointed so far this season.

In my opinion
Season 1 - 9
Season 2 - 10
Season 3 - 9
Season 4 - 6
Season 5 - 8

Didn't really like Silas/Tessa/Amara storyline even though I did like Silas, he was awesome. I loved the last 2 episodes though, I think I'm gonna like the second half of the season much more than the first one.

Pretty bad..boring

The Bad:

The doppelgänger storyline was awful, It should've never happened. Stefan's amnesia was horrible writing and ruined his character for me. Caroline was annoying. The writing was very inconsistent. The continuation of the love triangle. Katherine's character in 5x09-5x10. The writers completely ruined everything I liked about Steferine. Matt's storyline going nowhere. Stefan's PTSD being about loosing Elena to Damon (you DO NOT make fun of mental conditions). Katherine & Nadia's storyline being completely OOC and going nowhere. Everyone forgiving Katherine for all the horrible things she did without any effort from her behalf. And where's Tyler?

The Good:

Bonnie. Jeremy. Beremy. Matt. Damon. Elena. Delena. Nadia. Silas's wit. Katherine before 5x09. The characters finally focusing on their emotional trauma and calling it in names (survivors' guilt, PTSD...). The Augustine storyline. Enzo. Damon's history. Aaron in 5x10. Elena's sense of fashion. Bonnie's new haircut. Bonnie is the center of attention. College isn't the main focus. Dr. Maxfield as a villain. The soundtrack. Deremy. Nina's acting. The originals are gone (though I'm sad about Rebekah).

That's at least how I see it.

Kinda disppointed by this season,like the previous one.

It's funny that everyone is talking about how bad this season is, but the majority gives it a good rating.

The 1st season was my favorite overall I think. Season 2 and 3 were pretty great too and then season 4 happened. It was terrible. I loved the first few episodes of season 4 and then it just went downhill. I hated it when Jeremy killed Kol. It was so dumb to kill him when they were about to make a spin-off of The Originals. Helloooo. Stupid! Then they killed Jeremy. I mean come on, that was so desperate. Then they were smart enough to bring him back to life. The biggest mistake of the entire season was trying to make Damon and Elena's relationship only about the sire bond. That was so desperate and pathetic of Julie Plec to do just because she wants Elena and Stefan together. Elena loves Damon, deal with it. It isn't about the sire bond. Tyler explained the whole thing when Elena asked him "The sire bond effects how you act not how you feel." So Stefan and Caroline were out of luck hoping that Elena only loved him because of that. The season was just slow and had so many pointless story lines. Thankfully, season 5 has been so much better than season 4. It has had better more interesting story lines and the characters haven't been as whiny and annoying. I love that we are learning about things that happened in Damon's past. I would like to know what Stefan and Katherine were doing during those times too. The Silas stuff was dumb but I do love Silas. Also, they made a mistake saying that Ameara was the original Petrova..... ummmmm you told us that Tatia was the original Petrova. The one that the Original family knew and fell in love with. Also something that doesn't make sense is that there has only been one Silas doppleganger, Stefan. There have been many Petrova dopplegangers. Also another pathetic way of trying to get Stefan and Elena together again by saying the dopplegangers are meant to be..... so stupid. Plus, Stefan's meant to be doppleganger is Katherine, not Elena. Sorry for the long post. Just really been wanting to say that. I mean no offense to anyone that is just my opinion about the whole thing. Thanks for reading.

Season 2 and 3 were the best

I have never missed an episode of TVD until this season (two episodes in a row), so it basically tells everything.

At first I was kinda disappointed with this season. It's getting better now that we've moved passed the Silas/Amara/Tessa stuff.
