He was the big bad guy last season he had to be defanded, so they can bring in another stoyline & another big bad guy. And he can come back one day maybe, so.

Alaric is by far a way better villian then Klaus eve was all season. Honestly since 2x22, Klaus hasn't done anything but sire Tyler and thats it basically.

Davastated? That is an understatement! I will never be able to see TVD as before if he doesn't make it back.

I was doing a victory dance when he died (I know it's a very unpopular opinion, but I just didn't like the guy).
I was devastated when Alaric died, but I think he's a better vilain - by knowing every single member of our gang - than Klaus was.

I wont watch the show anymore till he comes back.

I watched season 1 and liked it but then I stopped after like the first episode of season 2 because I was bored with it but then I saw an episode with Klaus and I thought it was interesting again so I started watching it again. Without him the storylines are going to go back to the same old boe=ring stuff like before when I stopped watching it.

&& Why should I not watch a show if I only like one character?
I still want to see that character. and there are no rules as to why a person should or should not watch a show.

maybe they could involve him as a non-problematic role? on a side note..I just love his smile in the "glowing with joy" choice!

I will be very mad and sad if he isn't in season 4 and 5. I want him to stay forever until it is his time to die or just leave the show. I don't want him to go away evil. I want him and Caroline to have a chance. Even if they don't end up together they should at least be able to try. I love Klaus he is a great character. I love his family and everything about him.

I don't see Klaus as just a villain anymore. He's not like that tomb vampires from S1 or werewolves from S2, we never cared about those guys and we've never seen their background story, they never developed as characters, but Klaus did, we have seen different sides of him, and he got involved with so many main characters. He's not just a simple villain. I see him like the male version of Katherine. They're twisted and evil, and they've done some horrible things, but we've seen them suffer, we've seen them showing humanity. They have personal stories with main characters. And I just can't see them as just villains, they became so much more.

They have still SO much to explore with his character ! eg. more original flasks like the daggering, before being vampires, TATIA!! ect.

He's my fav character. He has to come back, this show would be boring without him. Team Klaus <3

@Pink_Love to watch a show, fans, yes have their favorite character but overall it is more about the storyline. If you were watching this show where no character is safe for one character over the whole storyline why were you watching the show when it consist of 13 other characters.

@critic4ever yes I am going to watch the finale, it was just a "what if" question for now. I read online that he may not be confirmed for season 4 so I decided to ask this.

I think I am ok with it. He wasn't that much fun and the show doesn't really need him. If we lose Elijah I will be devestated.

Happy , the writers were destroying the character all the season , he supposed to be a villain and end up being a Joke , but unfortunately i think he will be back in somehow , because the writers cant leave anyone dead

I think that being a villain doesn't mean he can't be a complex character. I don't like Evilaric, he's evil-cause-evil, becasue Esther made him this way & you won't fine in his character any surprises, any deeper reasons or motives.
Klaus on the other way started as a big bad boring guy, but he was developed in very intersting direction. His devotion toward siblings, daddy issue, fear of loneliness, guilt of killing mother, interst in art,(a little bit forced,but still..) interest in Caroline... I really enjoyed watching him.
You can't expect anything like that from Esther's puppet, he'll be boring, scary guy messing with everything without logic or (even twisted own rules). I really, really can't wait to see him dead.
