A knock on the door interrupted his thoughts .he got up angry to answer the door. But when he opened it he couldn’t believe his eyes; Elena was standing there, her eyes red and puffy from crying and her hair loose and disheveled.
“Hey,” she said in a hushed voice, she sounded like she was about to cry.
“What do you want Elena??” he said pretending not to care, pretending he wasn’t actually worried about her, even after what she said to him.
“I’m sorry.” She said he voice shaking and broken. All he wanted to do was take her in his arms and kiss away that sadness, but he couldn’t. “I understand if you don’t forgive me, because what I did, what I said is unforgivable. But just hear me out, ok? After you left I was thinking about what you said…and you’re right…i do love you…but just…I don’t know what to do!”
He was in shock. He didn’t know what to say…how to react to what she just said. “Why?” he asked surprised that he could even make a word out.
“Why?! Because I’m with Stefan!! And I love him! But I love you too! And I don’t want to lose you! I know I’m stupid and selfish and that I should just let you go! Their lips touched, and the fireworks started, that fire that they have both tried so hard to ignore was burning inside them now, how can something that seemed so wrong to her moments ago could feel so right now?
