"Good morning dad,good morning Leah"
"You can just call me mom dear".Katharina looked at Leah and says "Good morning Leah!" she said this with a sweet accent,but it was full of sarcasim.Her dad looked at her and said:"Katharina could you a little bit nicer to Leah,she's your steph-mother"
"Yes dad,I'll try to be nicer to her".She trys to chance the subject by saying "I'm going out to see what this small town has to offer"
"Don't come so late at home dear,we still have to find a dress for your ballet party",said Leah with a sweet motherly tone.
"oke Leah,I'll be home at 3 o'clock I think",Katharina said that with irritation in her voice;she din't want to have any ballet party,she din't even want to come life here.
She went to go look for her cat.
"Come her Kiki;come her girl,where are you?.Look,there you are,you're such a beautiful girl!"
Cat spinning."Yes you're a good girl,want to go for a walk?.Lets go then"
Katharina's dad looks at Leah and says:"She'll be late again,you know that,right?"
"I know,but it won't hurt this time I geuss".
Leah tried very hard to make Katharina expet her as her steph-mother.
Katharina walked all around town.
"Wow,Mistic Falls is a small town.I geuss veryone here knows each other and in this same small town is where mom grew up Kiki".cat miawing "I know,I miss her to.Katharina thinks back to when her mom was stll alive.
"Are you alright young lady?"
Katharina looks into the face of an old lady who's smiling at her.
"Um..I'm fine thank you".Katharina smiles back at the old lady
"You scared me there for a moment child,I tought that something happend to you"
"Don't worry mam;I'll be fine,may I ask where you are going?"
"Well of corse dear;I'm going to the Cafe,do you want to come whit me?"
"I would love to,I'm sort of new here,so I don't know the way so well"
"Don't worry you'll know this town in no time.Here we are,hi Sara, the regular as always".Sara came up to Katharina and asks her what se wants."Hmm...I'll take a cappuccino".
While they wait the old lady started a little talk with Katharina.
"So what is your name dear?".Katharina wonderd for a moment if she would or wouldn't tell the old lady her name,she made the dicesion that it could hurt if she told the old lady her name."My name is Katharina"
"Katharina,I heard that name before?"
"Maybe,but I'm Katharina Meigham".
"Are you the daughter of Emma-Rose?"
Sara came back with the koffie and the cappuccino,"Here we are your cappuccino and the regular as always".
"Thanks Sara",the old lady had that sweet motherly voice that only a lady of age could have."No problem".Sara walks back to help another customer.
Katharina looks at the old lady and asks:"Did you knew my mom?"
The old lady takes a sip of her warm drink before she answers Katharina's question.
"Yes,I did she was the most sweet girl I ever met.She was just like you,she loved animals just like you love your cat".Katharina looks at Kiki and said:"She was a gift from her for my 13th birthday"
The old lady smiles at Katharina.
"If it's not to much to ask what happend to her?"
Katharina takes a deep breaht."All I know is that she was killed by an animal in the woods,while we were on a camping vacation".The old lady looks sad at Katharina and says:"I'm so sorry she was a wonderful person.So are you going to live in Mistic Falls?"
"Yes,mam,we moved here yesterday"
Time pasted as the old lady and Katharina talked
The old lady looked at her watch and said:"o,dear!"
Katharina looked at her and asked worried:"what's wrong,is everything ok?"
"Everything's oke,I'm just late for something,I have to go"
The old lady looks at Katharina,"will you be fine all by yourself?"
The old lady didn't look so sure at Katharina.
"I'll be fine mam and don't worry if I don't know the way I'll ask somebody how knows"
"Oke than,I hope to see you around dear"
Smiling at each other,"I hope so to mam,have a lovely day mam.Don't worry I'll pay for you"
"Thank you dear that's realy nice of you"
She turns and looks at Sara,"Thanks for the coffee Sara".Sara looks at the old lady and smiles,"no problem An"
"Goodbye dear!".She walks towards a lantern, makes a turn to the left and she is gone.
Katharina is all alone with her cat on her lap.
"I geuss it's time to go Kiki.How much will it cost Sara?"
"5 dollar"."Here is the money and Sara can you please tell me,where the Mistic Falls high school is".
"Well of course".Sara tells her which way she should go."Thanks Sara"
"No problem I,m glad I could help"
Katharina follows the instructions that Sara give her.
"Here we are Mistic Falls high school.Tomorrow I'll be going to this school".
From the way she said that you could understand that she didn't look forward to it.
