Am I the only one who thinks this

-Damon sounded sad at the end of 1-22 when he was talking to Jeremy and when he was talking to Elena/Katherine. (It was sad to hear him that way)

-He has feelings for Elena (more than friends)-He didn't realize something wasn't right until after the kiss, so he wanted to kiss Elena.

I feel the same way. It was a shock to see someone as strong as Damon reduced to ... that. He definitely loves Elena.

i agree he was so sad at the end tho people are saying he KNEW it was katherine....HE DID NOT KNOW!!!! she fooled him again...just like in 1864 when fooling him into loving her ..MAN! she can;t give him a break can she lol!

1)I think Damon was extremely vulnerable at the end of this episode. And for the first time in a LONG time he was able to show that side of himself to the one person in his life that has ever believed in him and makes him want to live again. The person who he THOUGHT was Elena. It makes me incredibly sad to think that she never got to hear his words. Who knows when he will open up again.

2) He definitely wanted to kiss her. But I don't think it was anything he had planned. I think the emotions he was feeling just overtook him in the moment and he had to show her how much she means to him - and in more than a friendly way.
