Which is better - the sims 3 base game or sims medieval?

I just started playing The Sims Medieval, and I can tell differences and make you a recomedation,
To begin with, the two games have a lot in common, but there are enaugh things to make the difference. For example, there are traits, you can explore outdoors, and so and so forth.
The big differences are: in The Sims Medieval you are not (mainly) able to do whatever you want and control your sim as you wish, as there is a story line that has to be followed (Perhaps you have heard of The Sims: Life Stories - it`s alike). Furthermore, remember you live in the middle ages, so no tv, car or phone (instead - a pigeons based mail). The clothes and furniture are specific,as well as lifestyle.
To conclude, I would say that The Sims 3 base game would be better just because of the endless possibilities that there are. Of course, the other is a bit more adventurous, but play it only after you try the basic game. :)

Surly The Sims3 is better and even Sims2 is better than the sims medieval. I dont know why EA called it The Sims! this game is very different and so so booooring with the exception of the appealing graphics its total let down.
