testingCheatsEnabled true - right click on things to get options when you right click on your sims it enables options such as modify traits or age up sims and if you click on the mail box it can max motives or give your sims a promotion.
There are different cheat codes for The Sims Three than there are for the Sims Two. Motherlode is the only one that still works, as far as I know. For Sims 2 there was the "boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true/false" cheat, now you leave out the "boolprop" and just type in "testingCheatsEnabled true/false" (type in "true" if you want the cheat on and "false" if you already had it on and want it off) It does almost the same things as the cheat on Sims 2. Here's one thing you can do with this cheat. You can SHIFT Click on the mailbow and "Make All Happy", which max motives basically, and then click "Make Needs Static" or something like that, to keep it that way. There is also many, many more things you can do.
One more cheat that I know of is, "freerealestate". It should say it all there. When you make a family and don't have enough simoleons to buy the house you want, just type in the cheat and you can get any house you want.
Motherlode for 50,000 dollars at a time and aging on/aging off to either let your sim live forever (with exception of car wrecks and fires) or not to let your sim live forever
To get most of the working cheats, press ctrl+shift+c(if you have a windows computer it's ctrl+shift+windows+c) and type in 'help'. You will be provided with a list of cheat codes :P.
