What is different between sims 3 and sims 2?

I havent played sims 3 yet, but I have sims 2 and all expansion packs.
I think that the sims 2 is great but sims 3 normally has more options.
So, i cant tell you that sims 3 is better because sims 2 is just fine!!!

In the Sims 3 you can buy cars, Grim Reaper has different style, I think you can see what your kid is doing at school, you can see your adult sim at work or any commutity lot, steal (be the burgular), change your sims style, and when your an elder your a ghost not packing up to go to death. I think those are the differences. LOL I dont own the game but I seen vids on YouTube
