Because he eats to many donuts, tell that to Cheif Wiggum(the fattest police officer of Springefield).
But truly he eats alot of other stuff which he would die of a heart attack soon.
And he drinks to much of his favorite beer Duff, which is why he holds a can of it in almost every episode.:D
because he lovvvvvvvve eating!! like anything ha :donuts, twinkes hostess! beer,even the un delecious food hhhh he just love to eat!! u might see me pethatic but i sometimes ! see alot of delicious food i say nooo i'll get fat if i eat it! but when i remmember homer when he eat alloot of food without shame hhh!! so i start eat donuts!
he eats lots of junk food especially donuts he finds any junk food delicous and drinks ridicculous amounts of duff beer but who could help it? we love homer just the way he is!
Some of what looks like fat is actually his beer belly, the rest of the fatness is from eating donuts. If he would cut back on drinking his Duff beer and eating donuts he would lose some weight.
