I'm completely obsessed with this show! I only started watching it in season 3 but now I own the first 2 seasons on dvd. The writing is brilliant and the actors and acting is just genius.

It is without a dought that it is the best show making new episodes today, but as for all time I just don't think so. Their have been many great shows in the past like Sinfield, and Married... With Children for example.
It is no dought that I love this show and will stay loyal to it forever, but it's not the best. Not yet.
Also, why is the yes picture the Washington State Cougers logo. If your going to post a picture, then post one that's relevent to the topic, or don't post a picture at all (just stay with the numbers).

yupp Seinfeld is still top dog. also, the simpsons is at the top because of how well written it was, not so much anymore. The Office is tied with The Colbert Report for best show today.

Sopranos > the Office. Sorry Kovac, but the Sopranos even top Seinfeld and Colbert.

If you haven't gotten into the Sopranos, do yourself a favor and check it out, son. It's mad good.

You also have to put Saturday Night Live in there, I love Lucy, The Cosby Show, Looney Tunes, the show with Johnny Carson, FRIENDS, Law and Order, Full House, possibly AFV, those were all hit shows, for the office to be up there, they will have to make it to atleast eight seasons and have good ratings throughout. Seinfeld and the simpsons are obviously, IMO, the best shows America's had, and they were both on FOX. I do think the Simpsons are really starting to drop, but the movie looks really funny and it could get them back to the glory days. However, I do think the office can be one of the best ten shows if not fifteen shows to air on television.

oo I do watch The Sopranos once in while, but drama's aren't the best shows on TV. Drama's are more suited for the big screen and comedies are usually better on TV. I'd rather watch The Godfather or Goodfellas before watching an episode of The Sopranos.

probably best comedy show on network television. but putting it against shows like "entourage", "sopranos", "the wire" "full house"..... well maybe not full house.... THE OFFICE DOES HOLD ITS OWN. I HAD TO CHOOSE BETWEEN THE OFFICE FINALE AND THE SMALLVILLE FINALE AND I CHOSE THE OFFICE.

I have to say, that the office is truly the only show on tv, that doesn't just make me roll my eyes. It is engaging, and holds true to something I thought was gone from tv forever until I saw the office. It is a beautifully written, acted, and all-around show. I don't know what more one could possibly want from a contemperary TV show.

It could be someday, but I also LOVE The Simpsons, Seinfeld, and I Love Lucy. I usually like things like Top 5 instead of ABSOLUTE favorite. It makes it easier for me.
