So I was bored, and I decided to search 'fangirl' on Dictionary.com (sponser!) and this is what it gave me:

fan·girl [fan-gurl]
noun Informal: Often Disparaging.
an obsessive female fan, especially of something technological or from popular culture: a Web forum for Star Wars fangirls.

So naturally, I went even further:

Fangirl

The term fangirl can be used to describe a female member of a fandom community (as opposed to the masculine " fanboy"). However, it is most often used in a derogatory sense to describe a girl's obsession with something, most commonly a male teen idol or an aspect of Japanese pop culture.
Fangirl behaviour is believed to vary in intensity. On one end of the scale are those that, while harbouring a crush on a particular actor or character, are perfectly capable of understanding that the fulfilment of the crush is never going to happen. On the other end are the girls who are said to be obsessive in their claims on a fictional character. Fangirl behaviour can fall anywhere between these criteria, but the closer someone is believed to be towards the obsessive end, the more derogative the use of the term 'fangirl' to describe them is perceived to be.

and then I found this:

Teen Idol Fangirls
These fangirls will commonly hold a crush on a major male star, athlete or celebrity (Common examples include Johnny Depp and Pete Wentz). This can range from a simple crush to the complete belief that the male celebrity is either madly in love with the fangirl, or will fall madly in love with the fangirl once he lays his eyes on her.
Japanese Pop Culture Fangirls
These fangirls will often follow a particular aspect of Japanese pop culture, sometimes broad, but sometimes as focused as a single anime/ manga series or even a fictional character.
In the cases of particular anime or manga series, the fangirls are believed to hold less interest in the storyline, being more interested the potential for romantic relationships between the fictional characters of the series. In more extreme 'cases', the fangirl will claim that a particular character is in love or married to her, despite the physical impossibility of such a relationship.
Also fangirls who are extremely obsessed with a character will make fanfictions, fanart, fanflashes, or anything else there may be to put either them and the character together, of the character and another one together. Fangirls are different from otakus. These relationships will often be removed from the canon context of the series, and are often expressed in fanfiction. Examples of series' commonly claimed by fangirls include Naruto, InuYasha, Bleach, Sailor Moon and the multiple Gundam series' (in particular Gundam Wing).
Fangirls are believed to be the largest contributors to fanfiction websites, often disregarding the canon storyline or altering it to fit either their own favoured romantic pairings (known as shipping) or themselves into the continuity (termed self-insertions or Mary Sues).

If only they knew how far we go.
Jealous, spiteful, and snotty; That's the way everyone sees Hera, Goddess of Marriage and Queen of Olympus. We've been talking about the possibility that she would be in the Lost Hero for quite some time, now. The other day Disney Hyperion launched their Heroes of Olympus site, and confirmed our theory. The only thing is, it doesn't seem like our theory as to why she is there is the real answer. The DH site's description of Hera says that she needs a little assistance from some demigods because her powers are restricted. Why? I've got a few theories.

I've been pondering on these terrible quotes from The Son of Neptune ... then I wrote a fic about my theories.

“You’ll feel pain, misery, and loss beyond anything you’ve ever known.” –June/Juno

“You will be my pawn. You will be the key to the gods’ defeat.” –Gaea p.153

“Such a valuable pawn. Do not fear, Percy Jackson. Come North! Your friends will die, yes. But I will preserve you for now. I have great plans for you.” –Gaea p.265

“If you survive today, you’re not going to like your future. A big sacrifice is coming, and you won’t have the courage to make it. That...

"If you loved Luke, why do you hate Piper?
Luke Castellan is the Percy Jackson fandom’s Severus Snape as the books were coming out. You liked him a bit, then he did something bad and holly smokes you wanted him dead. Then in the last book he completely changed and people cried and people wanted him back and it was so sad, et cetera.

He’s charismatic, welcoming, charming, friendly, approachable, smart, fit, funny, experienced, he was Percy’s hero from the start (thus making us like him) and he did show genuine love to Annabeth and Thalia in the early books and in The Demigod Diaries. But...

Okay, this is from Percy's POV, and it's about the same time as it was during my Disappearing Boy song fiction

I was lying awake in the Neptune cabin at Camp Jupiter, and as always, trying to remember my past. My thoughts drifted back to the girl I knew, Annabeth, it was frustrating how I could remember the name but not the face, or anything else. I grabbed my Ipod (yeah, against the rules, but you'd be surprised what you can get from the Mercury cabin) from the blue nightstand beside my bed. I just turned on a random song and it was Whatsername, okay, I thought, that's just too ironic.

Thought...
