The Golden Heart (Das Goldene Herz) Question

Um, what is the purpose of this club, exactly?

I'm not trying to be rude here--I'm sure you're a talented writer and I'm sure your story is amazing. But... what is the purpose of this fan club, exactly? If we cannot even read your book, how do we know it's any good? How can we be fans of something when we haven't even read it yet?

Your story sounds interesting and I encourage you to get it published. However, I don't see the need to have a fan club for something that doesn't exist (yet). If you want to spread the word about you story so bad, you can always self-publish it or publish it as an e-book.

Is there somewhere we can read your story? If there is, I would gladly read it and become a fan. I does sound pretty cool, so please don't mistake this questions as being harsh or offensive... I wasn't trying to be mean!

Did you not see what I wrote directly above your comment? I said that I'd absolutely love to read The Golden Heart when it gets published, and specifically said I wasn't trying to be mean to anybody.

The Golden Heart (Das Goldene Herz) Answers

Of course I can answer your question. When you've created something that you want to share with other people, the first step is to get its existence known. That is why people make commercials of products. You see them before you've ever tested them and know if they're good. That's also the reason for movie trailers. They give you a glimpse of what it's going to be. I need to do so much earlier. If a foreign publishing house sees there are a couple of potential buyers in their country already, I have a bigger chance of publishing it there. Now of course the sales in my own country will matter as well, but it's always better to be able to show them they can make at least some profit with this product. Hope my explaination helped and thank you for updating the spot.

Okay, I understand it now. And I hope my question didn't offend you at all... like I said, I don't want to be a hater or a troll or anything, because I know how annoying they can be. So thanks for not yelling at me ;)

No, it didn't offend me. ^-^ I understood what you meant. Probably I would've wondered about the same thing if I were invited to a club like this by someone. Thank you for being so sweet to update the club ^^

I happen to like this club, and I suggest you start your own club and stop thrashing this club. I don't see no one else complaining but you

If you had even bothered to read what I wrote, you'd see that I'M NOT TRYING TO BE MEAN. I'm simply just asking a logical question: How can you be a fan of something that hasn't been published yet? I know the author of The Golden Heart has posted the plot of the story, but we really still don't know that much about it.

I'm not hating on anybody here. I do actually see potential in The Golden Heart as a story. I just think it's illogical to create a fan club about a book before it's been published.
