I am so not claiming to be any sort of expert on this, but in season 1, before Derek became Alpha, his eyes were blue when he shifted. So, my theories: #1, Eyes are coloured according to personality, or, #2, Lone wolves have blue eyes, since Derek was alone and Jackson is not yet part of a pack. Hope that helps.

actually jeff davis touched a bit on that he says jackson cant be a wolf until he redeems his soul. but he wouldnt say what the color ment. But that should be important.

I think it might be because he's a beta?

The reason Jaksons eyes are blue because he was Born a werewolf just like Derek .so that must mean Jackson was part of the Hale family fire so Jackson might be a hale...his bio parents are werewolfs!!!

I have a feeling that his biological parents were werewolves. Derek was born a wolf and his eyes were blue (while he was a Beta). Not all of Derek's siblings were werewolves, so maybe the same thing happened with Jackson. It took an Alpha's bite to turn him, but it didn't work until Derek and Peter killed the kanima out of him.

No. It's because he has killed innocent people as the kanima and so his eyes turned blue. I thought beta and omega both could have blue or yellow eyes.
