He's likely still back in the original divine cage with Adam. Team Free Will summoned Lucifer into a secondary cage built in Limbo in order to have their chat. If you watch the episode again, you'll see that the first shot of Lucifer has him in a cage with very different walls. Also, Crowley explains this while they're walking though Hell to get to the second cage, but because we haven't really gotten an idea on what they're going to do, nor is it ever well explained where the divine cage is in Hell, it was a bit vague.

Fyi hes not in the cage. Flashback and trauma is all that is. Cass takes that away and heals sam

Shouldn't Adam have been in Heaven (or whatevs) and not in the cage? Cass molotov'ed Raphael thus killing his vessel, didn't he?
