'There!' she said to herself. 'Lizzy won't mind if they're a bit burnt, will she?'
She took them through to her older sister, who was arguing with Alex about what they watched on TV.
'Elizabeth.' Amber shyly said.
'What do you want, you little brat?!' Elizabeth snapped.
'Um...I made some cookies for you...' Amber replied.
Elizabeth bit into one of the cookies.
'EWW!!!' she spat, ungratefully. 'YOU'VE BURNED THEM, YOU STUPID LITTLE LOSER!!!'
'I...I didn't mean to, Elizabeth!' she whispered with tears in her eyes.
'WELL, MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE YOU'RE A DOUBLE-TAILED FREAK!!!' she yelled.
Amber ran upstairs to her bedroom. She lay on her bed. Her pillow was getting soggier by the minute, but she didn't care.
'Why?' wept Amber 'Why does everyone make fun of me? Why does it matter how many tails I've got?'
'AMBELLA!!!' Shouted her Mum, Victoria from her parent's bedroom.
'''Ambella, Ambella, Ambella'' Just call me Amber, already!' Amber whispered to herself.
But Amber was just as bad. Her parents probably called her Ambella because Amber called them by their real names.
'Yes, Victoria?' Amber said as she walked into the room.
Her Mum was putting her make-up on. Geez! Amber often thought. What a Girly-Girl Mum is!
'Well, first of all, Ambella, do put on your dress, you look so much nicer with it on!'
'In your dreams, Victoria!' Amber laughed.
Victoria glared at her daughter.
'Second of all, Don't be such a cry-baby, I could hear you from through here.'
Amber glared at her mum.
'And, thirdly, I heard that Kylie is coming around, so please tidy yourself up a bit!'
Amber walked out of the room.
' Well, unlike SOME people I know, Kylie actually likes me for who I am...'
