well, what people told me, was to imagine that everyone in the room was naked, now this, is a terrible idea, i ended up laughing, and i was in front of a room of about 350 people so ye, i wouldn't do that
what i tend to do (and know this sounds corny) is take a reli reli deep breath at the begining to calm your nerves, and just focus on your voice, and nothing else
chose a spot, at the back of the room, and propel your voice towards it! Over a while, you'll forget that there are people watching you
beleive me, i've used this douzens of times, it always works
good luck :)

I usually take deep breaths before I go out on stage and then when I'm on stage I stare at an object on the wall I'm facing like a light or a speaker or something and just imagine the audience isn't even there. I've never had a problem with stage fright before because of that.

This happens to everyone believe it or not. Even the mega stars of music. I would recommend first the deep breaths as mentioned previous take about 5 to 8 of those first. I would recommend drinking room temperature water all day until about an hour before your performance. This will give you vocals all the care they need to perform at their best. I would look above the crowd as well and focus on performing like it's your last.

well my teacher gave me tips that really worked. before a solo in front of almost 1,000,000 people (my school is REALLY big) he came up to me and told me not to look at them, but to look OVER their heads and only focus on the music. just don't look at them strait in the eyes, OVER thier heads...and it worked!

at first u'll prabaly be scared (i know i was) but then u'll start having fun & the fear will go away! & if that doesnt work, jjust look at someone who's really important to u in the audience! but just try 2 get the butterflies out of your stomache & just have fun on stage, or where ever u r!
hope this helps!:)
