Once there was a poor millar and his beautiful daughter Meiko. He was so desperate for money that he boasted that Meiko could spin straw into gold. However King Kaito overheard this and took Meiko to his castle. She was then taken to a room with heaps of straw, a spinning wheel and a spindle. "You are to turn all this straw into gold by morning or your head shall roll." Once he had left she sat down and weeped. "How am i to spin straw into gold if i don't know how?" She thought about her sword, but then realized the guards took it earlier that day to prevent escaping. Then suddenly a little black and red hedgehog appeared in a flash of green light. "Good evening mistress Meiko why are you so sad?" said the hedgehog. "Oh i have to turn all this straw into gold by tomorrow or i shall die." said Meiko. "If you give me your necklace i shall help you out of this mess." Meiko thought Well it is my dead grandmother's but she would want me to live. So she gave the Hedgehog the necklace and he set to work. WHIRL WHIRL WHIRL went the spinning wheel and soon Meiko fell asleep...
In the morning when she awoke she saw that all the straw had been turned into gold. Kaito was not pleased however, He wanted more gold so he took Meiko to a bigger room with more straw than
before. When the king was gone the little black and red hedgehog appeared again. "what do you have to give me this time?" he asked. "I shall give you my grandmother's ring." Meiko said in response. He then took the ring and set to work.
WHIRL WHIRL WHIRL went the spining wheel. Soon Meiko fell asleep...
When she awoke the room was filled with gold like before. Kaito still wanted more so he put her in a room bigger than all the rest with even more straw than one could imagine. "If you finish this all in one night you shall be my wife."
Just like all the nights passed before the hedgehog came and asked "What do you have for me this time?" he asked. "I have nothing to give you." she said sadly. The hedgehog thought for a moment and said "When you become queen you shall give me your first born child." Meiko thought for a moment and was uneasy. The doctor said it was impossible for Meiko to have children so she agreed. The hedgehog then set off to work. WHIRL WHIRL WHIRL went the spining wheel. Like before Meiko fell asleep...
When Meiko awoke the room was once again filled with gold. Then King Kaito married Meiko and they had twins named Erin and Andrew.The girl had brown eyes and hair like her mother and the boy had black hair, but blue eyes like his father. As Meiko was putting the children to bed the hedgehog appeared and said "You must give me your daughter. You promised me your first born child when i spun the gold for you." he said as he walked toward the cribs. Meiko pleaded with him and he then said "You have three days to guess my name if you get it right you may keep your daughter, but if you can't guess then she is mine."
Then in a green flash of light he was gone. She sent messangers, she had the longest list of names made. "Is it Tom? Brian? Alexander?"
"No, no and no." he always answered. On the third day however Sir Galahad (aka Silver's medival twin from sonic and the black knight) Said "Your heighness i think i have found the name you are looking for. When was in the black forest i heard someone or something shriek this song:
Today i brew, tomorrow i bake
Ad then the princess child i take

for Shadow the hedgehog is my name!"
The queen was filled with joy when she heard this.
The third day the hedgehog appeared when the queen was lying in bed with her two offspring asleep in her arms. "Is your name jack?"
"Nope."
"Is your name Michael?"
"Nope." he said as he got more and more closer to the infant princess waiting to snatch her up.
"Is your name Shadow the hedgehog?"
"BLACK DOOM TOLD YOU THAT!!! BLACK DOOM TOLD YOU THAT!!!!!" He hollered and cursed. Then all of a sudden a hole opened in the floor and a black demonic like claw came out and snatched up the cursing black and red hedgehog he screamed out "YOU WILL PAY DEARLY FOR THIS!!! I WILL TAKE YOUR DAUGHTER IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO!!!!!!"
and then it all vanished in an instant.
Thinking the worst was the queen fell asleep only to awake in cold sweat after a nightmare of her children being kidnaped by the dark hedgehog. Consulting the help of Merlina she had her children put into different timelines. the boy in the time of the 1970's and her daughter in 1990's.
Miku and Len took care of the son while Kaito and Meiko took care of the daughter, thinking she might need more protetion as she was the prior target. Everything was fine up until the hedge hog returned when the daughter reached her teen years and then had another son about 7 years old.
