Sex and Sexuality  best answer

Cinders said:
Different relationships have different definitions of cheating, but, as a general rule, undeniably yes, sex outside of your relationship is, nine times out of ten, considered cheating, and the only time it is not considered cheating is if BOTH partners agree to an open relationship.

I do not know if this question is referring specifically to you and your relationships, but if it is, I'm assuming that you and your boyfriend are in the typical monogamous relationship, rather than the atypical polygamous relationship. In that case, straying outside that monogamous commitment is definitely cheating, and can hurt the other person. Whether it's a guy sleeping with another girl, a girl sleeping with another guy, a guy sleeping with another guy or a girl sleeping with another girl, sex outside of the relationship is what modern society colloquially calls "cheating." Other names for it include infidelity, straying, adultery, betrayal, and having an affair (though admittedly, the latter one assumes a second relationship which implies having sex out of the relationship at least more than once).

I hope that cleared up any confusion on the subject. Nine times out of ten, there is no wiggle room. It's infidelity. The tenth time out of ten occurs in polygamous or open relationships.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that when you have a bf, you shouldn't sleep, make out or show any sign of physical affection with anyone but your boyfriend.

Hey you know nothing about her, you have no right to judge nor say what you've said. Just because someone happens to think different from you doesn't mean a thing. Grow the fuck up!

Wow, that sure was a mouth full of nonsense. I never agreed to her being a whore. He said "it's considered being a whore" I said rock on because of an inside joke. You know nothing of why I said that so your little comment about that gas just been ruled out. Then there's all the slamming you just did on me, once again you don't know me. I don't sleep around, just so you know I'm a virgin. So once again, ruled out. Maybe I do need to grow up but you need to loosen up. A bf and a gf don't belong to each other, they aren't married. She showed no side of anything FYI. She was asking theoretically not litterally.

Well as you already know, I don't think it's cheating if the two people aren't married. I mean when it's just a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship they don't own each other so I think it's perfectly fine.

You know that in my past I've been known to play a few guys, I see nothing wrong with that. I'm not married to them, I don't own them, they don't own me.

You probably are the kind of person who does not believe in monogamous relationships. This is absolutely OK, so long as you're smart and safe, and that the guys you date are aware of this. But so-called "exclusive dating" IS a social contract, regardless of marital status, and is assumed by the majority of society to be a monogamous relationship. If you are only in open relationships, or not seeing any one person at a time, then that's no problem. I just hope your boyfriends are aware of your beliefs and habbits. It's no fun when one person thinks the relationship is one thing, and the other thinks it's something else.

Yes, it is cheating. What if you become pregnat and then he finds out? Huh? He will probably break up with you if the info leaks. It is considered cheating in my book. Only have sex with one guy.
