Selena Gomez made her triumphant return to the public eye at the American Music Awards red carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The "Hands to Myself" singer -- who took "time off" from her career a few months ago to deal with issues of depression and anxiety stemming from her battle with lupus -- couldn\'t have looked healthier or happier in a fiery red sleeveless Prada gown.

The Artist of the Year nominee happily posed for photos with fans as she made her way down the red carpet.

Hours before Gomez made her surprise appearance at the AMAs, the 24-year-old singer\'s makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, gave fans a glimpse of Gomez\' glam style with a picture posted to Twitter.
