Robert Pattinson has claimed the only significant relationship in his life is with his dog.

The 23-year-old actor - who is rumoured to be dating his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart - told Details magazine: "The only emotional connection of relevance is with my dog - my relationship with my dog, it's ridiculous."

Robert had to endure a 12-hour photoshoot to accompany the magazine interview, posing with scantily clad girls which he found difficult as he claimed to be "allergic" to female parts.

The Hollywood heartthrob added: "But I can't say I had no idea, because it was a 12-hour shoot, so you kind of get the picture that these women are going to stay naked after, like, five or six hours. But I wasn't exactly prepared. I had no idea what to say to these girls. Thank god I was hungover."

The young actor confesses to feeling dazed by his sudden global fame, claiming he can "barely remember the last two years" and feels "a responsibility to be fascinating" when talking about his films."

Discussing whether his fame could be dangerous Robert - who has previously joked that Twilight premieres could be targets for terrorist attacks - said: "I find it really funny - if I got shot, I would literally be in hysterics. I would be like, 'Are you serious? Jesus Christ, get Zac Efron! He's got more social relevance than I do.'"
