Perhaps you've set a really really difficult standard for "success".
"Success" does not always mean "perfection". You didn't give any details, so nobody can really help too much, but just keep that in mind.
True success is putting all you have toward a specific goal. You don't always have to "accomplish" this goal to be successful.
Also, "luck" is a figment of your imagination. There is no such thing as good or bad luck. It is a matter of probability. If your accomplishments are based on circumstances beyond your control, there is no reason whatsoever to place any blame on yourself.
If it is within your control, just try harder next time. There's no point in holding a grudge against yourself.
There's definitely no point in blaming luck.
