Try listening to some Vocaloids songs. Allthough they mostly just sing in Japanese, they have some really good songs. I reccommend starting off listening to some of Hatsune Miku's songs and then branching out to other singers like Kaito, Meiko, Luka, and the Kagamine twins and all the other Vocaloids out there.

I highly recomend an awesome band named Skillet. They are a band formed in 1996. John Cooper does the main vocals and the bass. His wife, Korey, plays the keybord, synthesizer, and does back-up vocals. Jen Ledger is the one singing in 'Hero' and she's also the drummer. Seth Morrison is their new guitar player that replaced Ben Kasica, who was with the band for 10 years.
