It's not a damn "choice", I can assure you that. You can't just decide "Hey, I'm gonna be attracted to someone of THAT gender!" and then you immediately just are. No. You'd have to be super air-brained to think that way. BORN WITH IT, all the fucking way. Did I choose to be straight? Hell no, and neither did anyone else, so what the fuck makes you think people of other sexual preferences chose to be that way? No one can control their attractions to someone like that to where they choose if they're sexually attracted to a certain gender or not. That's the absolute most stupid thing to even CONSIDER, of course they're born with it! This shouldn't even be debatable, it should be so fucking obvious!

You can't be born gay its up to them.

Often it it is said to be hormones, and that would lead one to believe that they are born that way, however I think not, nor do they just decide that they are that way. It depends on environment, how they are raised.

If it were, then why do we have all those millions of gay teenagers trying desperately to "go straight" in order to fit in and avoid being looked down upon?

Its part of genes because My friend is bisexual and so is her sister.

Nobody knows; a lot of people think it's because of how a child's raised, but cases have proven that wrong.

I feel as though I was born this way, yes, i've had crushes on guys in the past but when I had my first boyfriend something just didn't feel right. Now I have a girlfriend, and something just clicks better. I feel more attatched.

I personally think it's a combination of both choice and nature.

Born with it. It's not like it's something you can help. If you could choose your sexuality why the hell would there be so many gay teenagers committing suicide from being bullied for loving who they do? Have you never heard the song "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga? -_-

Here's what I don't understand: why are people who reply that it's genetic swearing like sailors? From what I'm reading, they are being respectful about their opinion, using no hurtful slurs, not saying how big of a sin you usually hear it is, or anything that calls for anger. And to go out and call them names like ignorant makes the name-callers ignorant. (by the way, it could be-and this is just a suggestion, not a hate-filled bigoted comment, so please don't turn it into one- a malfunctioned gene, seeing as how people are naturally born hetero to be able to procreate and keep the earth alive, because, well, if you aren't attracted to someone, how else would you have that stimulant that pushes the reproduction process? Eh, I tried to make the last part as clean as possible, and I think that argument would work better with males, if I learned biology well.)
