Narrator: The city of Townsville, And, boy, it's nighttime already! [yawns] Well it's time for us to go to sleep, including our adorable superheroes.
Cut to the PPGs, dressed in their nightgowns, sleeping on their sides of their bed. Suddenly, crashing noises are heard; the girls open their eyes and leap down from their bed, exiting their room and tiptoeing down the stairs. The noise appears again.
Blossom: Bubbles, are you hearing what I'm hearing?
Bubbles: I think so, Blossom. How about you, Buttercup?
Buttercup: Yes, if I bet it's someone breaking into our house.
The crash appeared again, as the girls put their ears near it. It came from the Professor's lab, so they ran inside and were soon shocked at what they saw causing all the commotion.
It was a tall, black-robed figure, with yellow-flashing eyes and sharp, knifey teeth, holding one of the Professor's inventions. Once he saw the Powerpuff Girls, he tried to escape by climbing up a window, with the invention in his robe pocket, but he soon fell down face-flat clumsily. Much to the PPGs' surprise, they saw a small, fluffy wolf-like tail sticking out from the figure's rear end, which is quite weird for a robed figure. However, the figure got up and, hiding his tail in the robe, ran out the lab and past the girls. Feeling an instinct for heroism, the girls flew to the figure to try to stop him, but he escaped past the street and into the bushes; cue loads of cars speeding on the road, sacrificing the girls' chance.
Buttercup: [short 3-second pause] We lost him!
Blossom: [yawns] It's okay, Buttercup. We can catch him tomorrow, but now is bedtime. [walks back into the house with her sisters]
Turn down quickly to the bushes near the other side of the street; the figure pops up, invention in hand, and looks back to see any sign of any people seeing him. The coast is clear, so he stood up and tiptoed away.
Fade to a view of a desert with a cave, the figure appeared and tiptoed to the cave, having had a very long journey back to wherever he came from; in other words, this desert. Once he was at the door of his cave, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a key, proceeding to unlock the door. Then he opened the door and went inside.
The interior of the cave was quite creative, decorated like a typical home with a living room and others. Once there, the figure relocked the door and put the key back in his pocket, then removed his robe and hung it on a clothes rack, revealing himself to be a brown furry creature with the aforementioned tail, a long snout, black olive-shaped nose, long erect ears, shaggy eyebrows, and evil yellow eyes. His markings consisted of brown on most of him and beige/cream on his ear insides, snout, cheeks, eyebrows, neck and belly.
He grabbed the invention, which looked like some sort of ray gun, from the robe and ran into his lights-out lab. He opened the lights and walked to a table, setting the gun on it.
Coyote: Yes... my key to catching that tricky, lightning-speed Road Runner! I chose to steal this invention because of the shortage of metal, but at last, I... WILL... CATCH HIM! [laughs evilly]
His laughter echoes throughout a shot of the desert. Fade to the Utonium residence; we cut inside the bedroom to see the girls still sleeping. Then, the ray gun flies right into a window and hits Blossom on the head, waking her up. Rubbing her head and yawning, Blossom took a look at her father's invention and picked it up. It only took her a few seconds to realize what she was holding and woke up her sisters by pushing them.
Blossom: Girls! Girls! You gotta see this!
Bubbles: [tired] What is it, Blossom?
Buttercup: [tired] Yeah, what is it?
Blossom: I found the invention that the figure stole! I felt a hit on my head, so I can assume that it was thrown back in!
To prove it, she held out the ray gun right before their eyes. Her sisters became what I call it mixed puzzlement and surprise, eyes widened.
Bubbles: You're right, it is the invention!
Buttercup: Well at least we can put it back in the lab.
The girls, with the leader Blossom holding the gun, flew out of the room, down the stairs and into the lab. Inside, Blossom put the gun back onto it's rack, with it's label "Duplicator Ray Gun" below it, suggesting that it can clone someone/something.
Blossom: There, good and safe.
Just then, the hotline rang. The girls heard it from the bedroom, so they flew there.
Blossom: Okay girls, this might be an emergency, so we have to fix it! [puts the phone to her ear] Yes?
However, instead of the Mayor's clumsy voice, she heard what sounded like four corks being popped out of bottles at a quick pace.
Blossom: Huh? I don't remember hearing that sound. [holds out the phone to Bubbles] Bubbles, you take it.
Bubbles: [puts phone to ear] Hi?
Bubbles instead got a response, which are basically two car-like honks. She immediately recognized that familiar sound.
Bubbles: Oh hey, Road Runner!
Blossom and Buttercup: Road Runner?
Bubbles: Oh don't you know? Our new friend from the desert?

Bubbles: Aw, relax Buttercup. We have powers, you know?
Buttercup: [hears tummy growling] Hey, when is the time to eat?

A long-necked blue-purple, fast ostrich-like bird ran past the girls and left them spinning like tops. They later come to a stop, dizzy looks on their faces.

Bubbles: Do you?
Buttercup: Oh! Our friend from the desert who outsmarts that coyote!
Bubbles: Okay. Now let me speak to him a bit more. What is it?
From the mouth speaker of the phone, a purple wing popped out, holding a sign written as "The coyote has made several clones of himself with some sort of ray gun so he can better increase his chances of catching me! Help!". Then it popped back into the phone.
Blossom: Don't you mean the ray gun that the Professor invented?
Bubbles and Buttercup: Yeah.
Blossom: Well then, let's move! We've got a roadrunner to help! [flies out of the door with her sisters]
Flying in the sky, the girls looked down the desert where the roadrunner and coyote live. They flew down to the ground and saw many Wile E. clones chasing the horrified Road Runner.
Bubbles: Popping bubbles! There are lots of clones!
Blossom: We need a way to help Road Runner escape the coyotes.
Buttercup: [thinking] Hmm....
Blossom: Buttercup? Have you come up with an idea?
Buttercup: Nope, but I'm still putting my mind into it.
Blossom: Ugh. Let's just help him, girls. [flies off with Bubbles, leaving Buttercup behind] Butercup!
Buttercup: Okay, okay! [flies off]
Reaching Road Runner, the girls led him through a field of tumbleweeds, cacti, and a canyon, which he passed over without falling. The coyotes instantly halted at the edge, in fear of falling off. Back to Wile E., he is watching them through a monitor in a nearby base.
Wile E. Coyote: My clones have stopped! Well, not anymore... [presses a button, and a bridge rises up from the canyon] Now initiating Plan B!
Pressing another button, a giant duplicator ray gun appears from the sky and blasts the clone coyotes, multiplying them to about 200,000.
Wile E. Coyote: Now, get the Road Runner! And bring him to me!
With microphones hung to their ears, all of the coyotes ran back after the Road Runner and the PPGs on command.
Back to Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup and Road Runner, they are taking a food break, sitting on rocks. Blossom is eating a veggie sandwich, Bubbles eats a big chocolate-chip cookie about the size of her eye, Buttercup eats a Granny Smith apple, and Road Runner eats his favorite, ACME-brand birdseed.
Unfortunately, they heard stamping noises approaching them. They looked back to see the increased coyote clones, some of them riding tanks, some of them riding helicopters, some of them using jetpacks, and some of them... well, simply wielding knives and forks, napkins, and hungry looks on their faces.
Blossom: Holy cow! There are much more of them!
Road Runner: [holds a sign reading "I think this is the best time to run!!!"]
And at the speed of light, the foursome took off in a flash, leaving behind their cloud silhouettes; in other words, a common occurrence in cartoons, as the coyotes pursued them.
Bubbles: What are we gonna do, Road Runner? There are too many coyotes!
Moments later, an idea popped up in Blossom's head. It was about the invention that the figure, revealed to be the coyote all along, stole.
Blossom: Wait, I got it!
Bubbles and Buttercup: Got what?
Blossom: I bet that if we duplicate Road Runner to a greater level than the coyotes, then they will have a hard time picking which one is the real. I'll be back in a sec. [flies off]
Using her super-speedy flight, Blossom flies back to the Utonium residence and into the lab, grabbing the Duplicator Ray Gun from it's rack. She flies back to the desert to her sisters and the bird.
Blossom: [pointing gun at Road Runner] Okay, Road Runner, hold still... [blasts Road Runner, making a clone of him appear] There! Now, [looks at gun] thanks to the special multiplier knob, I can make this cloning process a whole lot faster!
Turning the knob to 100,000, Blossom then blasts the bird more and more, producing lots and lots and lots of clones. Upon the coyotes' return, they are very surprised and shocked at the many Road Runners.
Coyote Clone #1: Gee, which one is the real Road Runner?
Coyote Clone #2: I don't know, but let's find out by chasing all of them! Charge!
He and the all (if not all) the other coyotes then chase the Road Runners, but one is left behind. A clone pushes him back, assigning him to do something else.
Coyote Clone: But you! Stay behind and dispose of these [points to the PPGs] little girls responsible for the multiplication of our master's prey!
Other Coyote Clone: Yes, sir!
However, before the coyote clone can perform his task, Buttercup knocks him out cold with a punch.
Buttercup: That should keep him sleepy for a while, and by sleepy, I mean, unconscious. Now stay here.
Flying off at super speed, Buttercup then returns with three purple gloves, beak masks, and light-blue tail feather belts.
Bubbles: What are those?
Buttercup: These things will make us look like the Road Runner. Here.
Buttercup hands out a set to Blossom, who takes off her bow and wears the glove hat, beak and tail feathers. She hands another to Bubbles, who does the same. And finally, with one set left, Buttercup puts them on. They now all look like Road Runners.
Seconds later, the clone wakes up. His vision is blurred out for a while, but no sooner than it clears he sees the Powerpuff Girls in Road Runner disguise. He suddenly feels a coyote instinct for roadrunner hunting.
Blossom: Yo-hoo! Over here!
Bubbles: We're very speedy and delicious Road Runners, guaranteed to satisfy your hunger!
Buttercup: Come catch us if you can! Beep beep! [runs off with her sisters]
Coyote Clone: [licking his lips] Yummy.... [grabs his knife and fork and chases the girls]
Very short sequence but, the girls, mimicking their avian buddy, lured the hungry clone onto the road and made a right turn, leaving him to be hit by a passing tank truck.
Blossom: [rubbing hands] There. One down, thousands more to go! Let's fly girls! [flies off with her sisters]
Reuniting with Road Runner, who was still being chased by the coyote clones, the girls again led him through the desert. They ran up a mountain and pushed a boulder down after the coyotes, which ended up crushing most of them; the rest having dodged and survived.
Blossom: We got them! If not all of them.
Bubbles: [points down] Because there are still some of them!
The remaining coyote clones, true to Bubbles' quote, climbed the boulder and proceeded to run to them, cornering them against a cliff edge. Just as they are about to attack them, the girls and the bird quickly step away, making some of them run off the cliff; others simply halted. Looking down, the clones all held up "YIPE!" signs and fell off the cliff with an off-camera crash.
Blossom: That's good! But there are still some left! [sees the remaining coyote clones, holding mallets and other toon weapons] And they've surrounded us! What are we gonna do now?
Suddenly, Road Runner had an idea. He reached into the air and pulled down a string, triggering loads of anvils to fall from the sky and crush the remaining clones. All of the clones have been defeated... except their creator, Wile E. Coyote, watching them through the monitor.
Wile E. Coyote: AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH! Those dastardly girls and that Road Runner have foiled my clones! Well, it's just you and me, rubber-burner! [jumps out of his chair and runs out]
Later showing up at the mountain where the PPGs and Road Runner are, Wile E. took out a sword and charged at his prey, hoping to stab and kill him. However, Road Runner stepped away at the last minute and the coyote was now soon running on nothing but air. Once he stopped in clear puzzlement, he looked at the reader and said:
Wile E. Coyote: I'm in mid-air, aren't I? [falls]
Upon going through a usual gravity plummet, the coyote got up to see some of his clones that have also been tricked off the cliff. They got up as well.
Coyote Clone: We're sorry, boss. We couldn't get him. Those stupid kids had cloned him and we couldn't tell which is which.
Wile E. Coyote: [sighs] I think I'll catch him next time...
Back to the four heroes.
Road Runner: [holds up a sign read as "Thank you for the help, girls"]
Blossom: You're welcome, Road Runner. Now let's get rid of all those clones, especially yours.
Setting the knob on the gun to reverse, Blossom then blasted all existing clones of both Looney Tunes, vanishing them from existence; Wile E. was unaware however, as he was still plotting his next scheme.
Bubbles: Okay, bye! [flies off with her sisters]

Buttercup: Oh, and one more thing. Can we take our disguises off?
Narrator: Oh, Buttercup! I think you'll have to keep those costumes on for a while, 'cause they look fantastic! Anyway...

Setting the knob on the gun to reverse, Blossom then blasted all existing clones of both Looney Tunes, vanishing them from existence; Wile E. was unaware however, as he was still plotting his next scheme.
Bubbles: Okay, bye! [flies off with her sisters]

Buttercup: Oh, and one more thing. Can we take our disguises off?
Narrator: Oh, Buttercup! I think you'll have to keep those costumes on for a while, 'cause they look fantastic! Anyway...
