Olivia walked through the halls of Harvard, feeling dejected. She stood facing the outside; thinking about what would life be like if she was never part of the ‘fringe’ department. She knew there were many pros: a social life, happiness, no nightmares, but she also knew there were cons: she would have never met Peter. Peter. She smiled to herself and heard footsteps behind her. She spun around and stood face to face with Peter.
“Hi,” Olivia said. She crossed her arms over her chest.
“Hey,” Peter replied, stuffing his hands in his pocket. There was silence and the two looked around. “Are you okay?” Peter asked, staring into her eyes.
“Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?” Olivia responded.
“Well with the nightmares, and the beast, I don’t know. I just wanted to check on you,” Peter babbled. A rush of warmth spread throughout Olivia’s body. He did care for her.
“Well thanks,” Olivia said and laid a hand on Peter’s shoulder. Peter took his hand out of his pocket and lightly put it on her cheek. Another rush of warmth spread through Olivia. She leaned forward to kiss Peter. He did the same.
Their lips brushed and Peter wrapped his arms around Olivia’s back. She put her arms around her neck. They kissed passionately. As Peter took off Olivia’s jacket, he heard footsteps behind him. He continued to kiss her.
“Peter?” Walter called out, and they separated. Peter didn’t turn around, and instead, he glared at the floor. “Peter? I was wondering where I could find a good burger around here,” Walter said. Peter clenched his fists in anger, and Olivia laid a reassuring hand on his arm. Peter calmed down.
“There’s a burger restaurant down on 27th,” Peter shouted back.
“Thank you,” Walter thanked him and walked away. Once they could hear no more footsteps, Peter and Olivia began to kiss again. Peter took off Olivia’s jacket and began to unbutton her shirt.
“Peter?” Peter turned around and saw Walter poking his head out from behind a corner. Peter glared at him.
“Yes Walter?” Peter grunted.
“Where is 27th?” Walter asked, and Peter rolled his eyes.
“Ask Astrid, and don’t bug me anymore,” Peter replied, and Walter walked away. Peter and Olivia watched the corner for a couple of more seconds to make sure Walter wasn’t coming back. Once they were sure he wasn’t, they began to kiss yet again. Peter unbuttoned Olivia’s shirt and slid it off of her. Olivia ripped open Peter’s shirt and threw it across the deserted hallway. . .
