I think Doofenshmirtz is evil because of all those traumatizing moments in his childhood. I think he's evil because he's trying to make something out of himself, and because he wants revenge for all the things that went wrong in his life.

No, it's because his mother loved his brother more, his father took a dog named it "Only Son" and won many dog shows, and his brother became the handsomest person in the city and the mayor. He wants to show his family that he can rise on top too.
