How do you think Maleficent will be played out when she returns?

I'm really excited but also kinda confused cause didn't Emma destroy her in the season 1 finale? Plus we saw that undead form of her when Hook encounters her when Regina pushes him in to fight her. Is she really dead? Will she be resurrected somehow?
