Does this show remind anyone of Charmed a little? I know that was just witches, but the magic and creatures and stuff?

Not at all! I liked Charmed, but this show is completely different to me.

It does a little bit. Not just the magical elements but the emphasis on love and happy endings, and the slight cheesiness.
