Once Upon A Time Question

Is the character that will be in the next episode always (at least briefly) shown in the episode before?

Ex. This last episode, it showed Granny, lighting Mary Margerat's Candle, and the next one will feature their story, is that true for every episode?

If I recall David wasn't in episode 2 but was largely featured in episode 3. And Archie wasn't in episode 4 but epsiode 5 was his centric episode. Same with Leroy. So not always but sometimes.
