When I first saw a pic of Near (before L died) I was like '...Is this L's son or brother??' I soooo thought they were related XD

Of course. He's supposed to look like L. He's supposed to BE like L, although he doesn't have L's flair. Near's cute and all, but the coolest character in Death Note award still goes to his predecessor.

Its L. Only less mature, younger looking, and with white hair. Also, is better at hiding his emotions than L.

I think Near and L look a like

L-sama and Near-kun do look alike maybe even some times more than others and they even sit in a similar fashion so I say yes.

Their eye shape is fairly similar, but L's eyes are very rounded and Near's are narrow-pointed like Mello's and Light's. I possibly think that he looks like an L before his features mature, but still, am unsure.

They do dress alike, as well.
