Why does the cutie mark crusaders don't have their cutie marks yet?

I mean: Scootaloo is good on the scooter, Sweetie Belle is good at singing and Applebloom is good at catching apples and building things!
Everypony can make a good answer. Don't they realise it's their special talent? Or is their special talent something else?
