Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:

Earlier tonight, we reported that Marvel and Sony plan on sending Peter Parker back to high school in the new Spider-Man that is being planned. At this time, Sony, who will have the ultimate say in who is cast as the new web-crawler, are already targeting two young actors to play the role. In contention are Logan Lerman and Dylan O\'Brien. The plan is to get someone younger than the 31 year-old Andrew Garfield, who previously played the role in The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Logan Lerman is 23 years old, but can still pass for high school age. Dylan O\'Brien is the same age, and is equally youthful in his appearance. Sony, who has ultimate say over what exactly the new Spider-Man will be, plan to keep Peter at Midtown High School a little longer, as the main thrust of this new series will focus on Parker\'s awkward relationships with fellow students, and how he deals with bullies while at the same time protecting the city he loves as a crime-fighting vigilante in a superhero costume. Both Sam Raimi\'s 2002 Spider-Man and Marc Webb\'s 2012 The Amazing Spider-Man started Peter off at Midtown High, but in both series, he graduated and moved onto life outside of high school. It sounds as though this new iteration may keep him in classes for more than one movie.
While Logan Lerman and Dylan O\'Brien are being looked at for the role of Peter Parker, we shouldn\'t consider either of them true contenders just yet. While Marvel and Sony named Peter Parker in their press release, it is believed that the two studios are considering other iterations of the character, and may even bring in Miles Morales, a mixed race character whose father is African-American and whose mother is Puerto Rican, instead. Whoever the character is, he will be introduced in Marvel\'s Captain America: Civil War, which begins filming later this year for a 2016 release. So we\'ll probably know who Sony and Marvel decide on for Peter Parker sooner than later.
Marvel\'s Kevin Feige and Sony\'s Amy Pascal will produce the new Spider-Man standalone adventure, which is set for release on July 28, 2017. Kevin Feige, however, won\'t be involved in the spinoffs, since he has an ambitious Marvel Phase Three slate to develop, which includes nine movies being released in the span of three years.
Logan Lerman is best known for his roles in Fury and Noah. He also played the title character in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: Lightning Thief and its sequel Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. Dylan O\'Brien recently took the lead in The Maze Runner, and will return for its upcoming sequel The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials. What do you guys think? Do you like either Logan Lerman or Dylan O\'Brien for this highly coveted part? Or do you hope they bring Miles Morales in this time around? Any suggestions? Sound off below!
Spider-Man comes to theaters July 28th, 2017. The film is directed by Marc Webb.

Hands down Logan Lerman should be spiderman he is a great actor
Just have Spiderman appear in captain America instead, because i don\'t think that anyone would see a third reboot/remake. Just splat him into Capt 3 or Doctor Strange.
I have no problem with a reboot as long as Marvel takes the lead with story and production. Sony has no idea anymore, that\'s pretty clear.
Also to the people who think it would be silly for a teenage Spider Man to fight alongside Iron Man, Cap, Thor etc. Have you never read a comic book? The whole twist of the original Spider Man was that he was a teenager...All of the other Marvel heroes at the time were adults with the exception of some of the X-Men. They always treated Spider Man as a goofy kid. They still do.
As long as they can act, which both of these actors can (see Logan Lerman in Fury to understand what I mean), I\'m happy!
I hope they take their time on casting the new Spidey.
If Mike Moreles version of Spider-Man, how about Tristan Wilds? He acts sings writes produces! Then in avengers, we\'ll have two Spider-Mans! Peter Parker and Mike Moreles!
1. I think its retarded they want him to be soo young. I agree with comments down below, it will look stupid to have a teen fighting with THE AVENGERS....he should be an adult now. 2. I truly hope to God they do not make it that idiotic character, miles morcraples, because I wouldnt even waste my time to see it then.
I\'ve been saying Logan Lermin for quite some time.
@justatadmatt I completely agree with you. After the last 2 films, as much as I hate the idea of reboots, especially so soon, it was ABSOLUTELY needed. And with Marvel contributing, its a MAJOR win for the character, the franchise, and especially us... the fans.
I actually liked Andrew Garfield as Spidey/Peter Parker. It was EVERYTHING else around him that suffered (villain, story, etc). But when I heard they were rebooting, I actually had these two actors (Logan Lerman & Dylan O\'Brein) in mind hoping they would keep Peter Parker in school longer. They never fully explored his character arc in High School much which was pivotal in his early career in comic books. In the two prior franchises, he graduates HS before halfway in the movie (wtf).
Between these two actors, I think they are the perfect choice. I\'ll be happy with either as both have proven they can lead a movie and display familiar characteristics to PP/SM
Stop bitching. Marvel can finally use the character. We should celebrate. Not complain. They (Marvel) have a plan in place and I definitely trust it over any creative decisions by Sony. Let\'s just sit back and wait...
P.s- I thought Andrew Garfield was the perfect Spider-Man, but my vote is still for Logan Lerman if they want to go younger...
More signs of desperation stemming from the failure of Garfield\'s second attempt amidst too much going on in the movie: let\'s just reboot it again. SO stupid and unnecessary. Hollywood is going to reboot the superhero genre back to the cellar if they keep this up. You can\'t build an audience by constantly switching and rebuilding the damned storylines so close to the last series and you can\'t do it throwing pc stuff against the wall to appease 10% of the moviegoers who don\'t pay attention to the source material with the Morales stuff. I\'m almost to the point of wishing they\'d stop making superhero movies for a while just so we could let excitement genuinely build again as they put together a really well written plan for them.
If they want Peter back in High School they should get a Actor that is in that age bracket, Peyton Meyer would be a perfect choice for Peter Parker. They should stay away from the Miles Morales version of Spider-Man cause most movie goers who see these films will not know who he is. I\'ve talked to most people who have seen these Comic Book films and a lot of them have said they know of these characters, but not that well as they never read their comics. If they put Miles in there then you are going to get a lot of confused people wondering what happened to Peter Parker. Better to stick to a character that is well known as Spider-Man!
anyone else feel it is to soon for this franchise to have its second reboot? heck I think this is the first time they have rebooted something twice
I like the current spiderman cartoon, where he\'s in high school and they started him out as spiderman, so I guess this is cool. I\'ve wanted Logan to be Peter Parker since before Garfield got cast years ago so I\'d be totally fine if they went with him. Dylan is a good choice too. Just please don\'t do Miles yet
@jasonkat that\'s a bad picture of Lerman. He looks much less dorky in anything else
Why does Spiderman have to be a kid/teen tho.? Do they know how dumb it\'ll look during a fight along side. iron man, captain america, thor, hawk, hulk. , might as well stick that lil boy with glasses, as spidey, lol
In all seriousness.. i dunno how young they want him to be, as for the choices above id go for for the 1 on the right, but the 1 on the left looks dorky so im guessing thats what they are looking for.
Damn I just thought Dylan O\'Brien was a choice that someone wanted as the new Spider-Man when I saw people commenting guesses for one of those pics the Teen Wolf page was posting to present a new character. I didn\'t think he was actually being considered.
