This my review of the Ghostbusters. Ghostbusters had 2 films in the 1980s' and the new film came out in 2016. It's time to find out which Ghostbuster film is the best and which Ghostbusters film is worth being busted by the ghostbusters.

1984 film review:

The first Ghostbusters film of often considered to be the best Ghostbusters film which is understandable. This is my favorite 1980s' film. It's aged well due to its' clever writing, good pacing, and entertaining cast. The film is a comedy, but it also has adventure and excitement.

The Ghostbusters are a good team. I like all 4 of the members. Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd are the biggest stand outs, but Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson are pretty good too. Rick Moranis is a good comedy relief. Out of the 3 Ghostbusters films this one has the best plot. Also it has the best climax thanks to the marshmallow antagonist. If you haven't watched this film yet I think that you should check it out.

1989 film:

The classic Ghostbusters team returned in this film. This film has gotten mixed reviews. Most people agree that the first film is better which I agree with. However I quite like this film. The plot isn't as interesting, because this film focuses more on the drama and action than the comedy. The plot isn't bad, but it's not as good as the first film.

However this film is a fun film thanks to the cast. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and the others are still a good cast. Although the plot isn't as good as the first film this film is pretty much as funny as the first film. I think this film gets mocked too much. It's not perfect, but it's a good comedy film that's worth checking out.

2016 film:

I wasn't looking forward to this film. It seemed like a big mistake and sadly this film isn't good. The plot of this film isn't very interesting. The film's characters aren't interesting or fun enough to be the main characters of a film. The plot is mostly just them getting their team ready until the third act where they fight the bland villain.

This film doesn't work, because of the cast. I like Kristen Wiig. She's a funny actress which is why having her play the film's voice of reason character is a big mistake. I don't like Melissa McCarthy as a actress and this film didn't help her reputation. Kate McKinnon is amusing enough, but Leslie Jones's jokes are eh. Chris Hemsworth is a funny comedy relief. The villain is lame and boring. A Ghostbusters film starring girls is a interesting idea. If it were up to me I'd have the girl Ghostbusters be Emily Blunt, Mia Wasikowska, Sophie Turner, and Jenny Slate. Sadly this film is both a bad comedy film and a bad Ghostbusters film.
