which do you like better, the twilight saga or the harry potter series?

Harry Potter. Since this is in the movie spot, I won't say why the books are so amazing, just the movies.

Movie One - Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone: This movie for die-hard fans was pretty damn good. The music by John Williams was excellent! Chris Colombus stuck to the books well and the acting wasn't too bad for a few ten year olds of which two of them hadn't any proper acting experience at all. The only thing that I could critise about it is, although it kept to the books, it was quite long and boring. But altogether a really sweet movie.

Movie Two - Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: When I first saw this film when I was six I absaloutley adored it and nearly screamed when the Basilisk started chasing Harry around the chamber. It was the darkest film I had ever seen at that age, especially with the blood writing on the walls. Another Chris Colombus film, it was quite long and sometimes can be boring. But I still love it. <3

Movie Three - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: OH MY GOSH! This is my favourite movie... I think. I still adore it. It's just.. so epic. Alfonso Cuaron is DA BOMB!! I can't actually put into words why I like it soo... next one.

Movie Four - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: This is another one of my absaloute favourites. I love Dan Radcliffe's hair in this movie because it looks exactly like Harry's hair is described (in the other films he looks like a frog). It was brilliant, emotional, amusing. Ralph Fiennes was excellent. Well done, well done.

Movie Five - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: I have to admit, in my opinion this movie SUCKED! David Yates made a butchery of it. It was the longest book, with so many important events, one of the BEST books. It didn't deserve a movie as crappy as this. At least Dan Radcliffe did justice in the scene where Sirius died. It was very good. Oh yeah, and Helena Bonham Carter was EXCELLENT! I love her.

Movie Six - Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: Another David Yates movie, but it wasn't as rubbish at OOTP. I quite liked it, but it's not one of my favourites. I thought Tom Felton's peformance in the Lightning-Struck Tower scene was AMAZING! And the wand fight in the bathroom. It was his time to shine! Once again, Helena was brilliant. Altogether a DECENT movie. I just hope Yates doesn't mess up Deathly Hallows. Or. I. Will. Kill him.

I fell asleep in Twilight and New Moon, well not literally, but it was so boring that I played with the drinks bottle I had. Kristen Stewart, in my opinion, is a really terrible actress. So.. there we go!

I like both. And I just dont understand why people keep comparing the two....they only have four things in common
1. They're both geared towards a younger audience.
2. One is an adventure story..the other is a romance.
3. They're both fiction.
4. They were both written by females.

So why do we have to choose? Why cant we like both? Why is there this on-going-war between Twilight fans and Harry Potter fans? It makes no sense.

Sparklechild5....if you are going to continue asking questions like these...you need to learn to respect others people's opinions and stop bashing them if they are different tfrom yours.

In my opinion, the Twilight Saga; I've read all the books and watched both the movies. I'm a Twi-hard at heart. I've never been able to get into the Harry Potter series, books or movies, the wizard thing just isn't for me. Twilight has more of a romancy story to it and I'm a true romantic at heart, so Twilight all the way baby!

Definately the Harry Potter series. They contain everything from violence to romance. From fantasy to reality and well... everything. Not saying anything against the Twilight Saga but I think they lack the variety and excitement Harry Potter brings with it...

definitly harry potter actually i'm super biased because i haven't seen twilight and i have nothing against it i'm just tired of hearing about it over and over again everywhere you go and the twihards are getting annoying. but sticking on topic i got to say harry potter i have loved it since it first came out. I love the plot and the variety in it

Harry Potter has a PLOT. and dynamic characters, significant messages, actual vampires that DON'T SPARKLE, real werewolves, and it shows the importance of friendship. it has mulitple genres; fantasy, adventure, action, suspense, comedy, and romance. Twilight is just fantasy. (no romance at all: you call a 100 year old virgin stalking a teenage girl LOVE?!?) overall, Twilight is just a fad, and Harry Potter will last way longer then a lifetime. you can't possibley compare something as boring, cheesy, and plotless as Twilight with the amazing, life changing series, Harry Potter. that's an insult!

Both actually. But definitely and obviously not for the same reasons at all! And I’m sure I’m not alone thinking that… The only similarity being the fiction of the extremely well-written stories and the planetary success, it's like comparing apples and oranges. Both delicious fruits but don’t look the same. Both sweet and tangy but don’t taste the same. Do not grow in the same country. Potter and Twilight series are both delicious, sweet and tangy, but our human senses are not treated the same way and on the same level at all. I don’t think I’m wrong by saying that a 6-year old would love Twilight as much as Harry Potter. What goes on between the ears for one does not generate that “something between the legs” the other does. I am very proud to say I will own both complete series, books and DVDs. But I could also say that I’ve never felt the urge to read/watch Potter in the evening and through the night as much as I did for Twilight. To my opinion, Potter is my orange and Twilight my apple. I equally love apples and oranges, but for me, the urge is a lot more easier to calm down by eating an apple... ‘cos I don’t have to peel it. And I can eat as many as I want to without ever get sick. i liked the twighlight films the first one was good the second one was quite boring but the third ine was great but overall i would have to say i prefered harry potter i have seen the all like 10 times and for me i think the twilight films have the same story in all 3 of the movies like there all really similar but in the harry potter films they all have different plots and things. i thought the first one was good ,the second was was really good , my fav was deffinatly the third one , i really didnt like the forth one , the fith one i thought was great and the sixth on i thought was good. i hope the last two are brilliant , they look really good but i dont know how they will turn out because the actors all look really old now soo .. i hope they will be great and btw tom felton is the fittest out of harry potter and twilight!

Well, no offense to any Twilight fans. But I cant take Twilight anymore. I was never even a fan. But I just cant take looking at any of those people any longer. They are all over. And yes there are such things as fads and classics. Sorry to say Twilight is a fad that is already dying off. But if Summit was wiser and didnt overexpose it so much. That probably wouldnt have happened. 1. Hot Topic stuff is downsized for the Eclipse movie by 3/4 because no body bought the Twilight and New moon Merchandise, it ended up in clearance.
2. They have big opening weekends then drop off severely. Not good.
3. UH..Harry Potter is in the Classics section of the Book Store and Twilight series is in teen reading.
4. If people find things like the Burger King commercial and Vampires Suck more funny than the actual movies than you know you have a problem.
5. You have a right to call it love. But I think Twilight promotes stalking, and Pedophilia and Bella is a horrible example for young girls.

So to answer your question now that I backed up my answer. Harry Potter. I have been a fan of the books since 98 when I was 9. And seen all the movies and read all the books. Cant believe its been 10 years for the movies and 12-13 for the books. Sad. But it will live on forever.

TWILIGHT SAGA all the way!!!!!!!!!!!

Twilight Saga is so much better. The suspence of the movie makes you feel as if you are actually apart of the movie, and the graphics are real.

I like Harry Potter better. Twilight's just not my type of thing.
