~Michael's POV~
I looked at her, horrified. "Wait...your...missing father?"
"I-I think so...he, he always had those god-aweful blue eyes..."
I couldn't take all this in. I think she must have sensed my unease.
"You have to go! Before it's too late."
"I can't, Jade. I'm supposed to be here for a week...And I have no car to go anywhere..."
~Jade's POV~
Hmm...A week...with Michael? That didn't sound so bad. I've been waiting for company...how long?...always having to keep people away, though. But no matter how hard I would try to get him to leave, I knew he wouldn't leave. That protective look in his eyes warned me well of that.
"You should go get some sleep. There's a spare room on this floor. I'll get your suite case from downstairs for you." I smiled.
"Oh no, it's fine. I'll get it. And I am a little tired." He yawned. "Ouch." He touched his lip where the gash was.
"Come here." I pulled his chin a little closer to my face and studied the gash. Our eyes met, and my heart skipped a beat. "Lets go downstairs, I have some cloth and some stuff that'll heal that cut right up." I smiled at him. He smiled back.
We headed down the stairs.
"AH!" Michael yelled.
"WHAT?!?!" I turned around to find him frozen on the steps.
"I felt something fuzzy against my leg!" His eyes were frozen straight ahead. I started laughing.
"That, haha, was my cat." I covered my mouth with my hand, but couldn't stop laughing.
He glared at me in a teasing way, and my cat meowed.
"That was not funny." He couldn't hide his smile.
We both were laughing by the time we hit the first floor, when I saw something out of the corner of my eye. Against the window, written in red. It said:
Insanity-Is around the corner
"Oh my god." Michael breathed.
I felt a headache coming on. I realized that the writing was written from the inside of the house.
Whatever wrote that...must still be in here.

He turned his head to look over at me. " Yes I will. I'm losing hope. And even if I don't, I might as well. I'm losing my daughter to some psycho, I got stabbed 3 times, there's no use."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Mom crinkled her eyebrows. " There's no use Summer. You can't convince him that he isn't going to die." She said, no hope in her voice.
Dad was still awake, but he was frozen in one position. His messy curly hair was tossed around and flat on the pillow. When I rubbed my palm over his, they were very cold. If you think about it, you're actually not sure if he'll make it.
I rested my head on his chest, tears rolling down my cheeks. I couldn't stand the fact the Dad could be leaving me too early...
