Rebecca was starting to cook and Michael helped her out. She was frying up some chicken and making salads, rice, corn, and peas. Guess where the chicken came from? KFC. As soon as they were done, Chris came back with Crystal. Rebecca came out of the kitchen to see Crystal and ran up to her and hugged her. "Crystal! You made it!" She said. Crystal hugged back. "Of course I did! How could I not make it? Oh and I heard about you and Michael. I'm so happy for you!" Crystal said all excited. They broke away. "I didn't know you and Chris were related, Rebecca. That's so interesting!" "Well, something had to come from mom's side. Have your things?" "Yeah, right here." "I'll take you to your room. Chris, can you help Michael set the table, please?" She batted her eyelashes at Chris and he nodded. "Sure, cousin." He said, smiling and went to help Michael. Rebecca led Crystal to her room, talking along the way. "Wow, this house is huge!" "I know, Crystal. That's exactly what I thought when I got here earlier today. Well, here's your room." She opened the door to reveal a rather large room with a red bed, a white nightstand, and a television. Crystal stared in awe at the room and walked in. "Oh my...this room is so...oh my God! I love it!" Rebecca smiled at her and walked into the room. "Glad you like it, Crystal. Does your mom know you'll be staying here?" "Yeah, she's on a business trip. She was planning on asking your mom where you'd be staying until your mom texted her saying that you were staying at Michael's because you were sick. Speaking of which, how are you feeling?" "Much better. The medicine Michael gave me really worked. My fever is almost gone, my stomach isn't bugging me anymore. I'm on the road to recovery from sickness." "That's good. Well, I brought a cake for all of us. I figured Chris would be with us, too, so I brought enough." Crystal showed the cake she made and it was rainbow colored with smiley faces on it. Rebecca giggled at it and saw something written on it, saying: Something I thought of giving you on your birthday, but a little late because I couldn't get it done in time. So happy belated birthday, best friend! Love you! Rebecca about cried from seeing it. "Oh my Ra...thank you so much, Crystal. Love the note on it. It's really touching." Crystal smiled at her. "It's no trouble at all. I about cried when I finished it after your birthday. Anyway, is dinner ready?" "Yeah it is. Come! Let's go!" They exited the room and went into the dining room and saw the table set up. Crystal put the cake on the counter and they sat down and started eating. They talked about the show and what was gonna be happening.
After dinner
Rebecca told them to have some space left in their stomachs for dessert. "You made dessert?" Michael asked. "Yeah, magically." She said sarcastically. "No, Crystal made it." She finished. Crystal then brought out the cake and Chris took out the candles and Michael got the matches. Chris put the candles on the cake and Michael lit them. Rebecca giggled when they sang Happy Birthday to her. Something truly American. She made a wish and blew out the candles and everyone cheered. Now she really felt American, not just Egyptian. Crystal cut the cake and gave out the pieces. The inside of the cake was rainbow colored, the frosting was white and looked like a little kid colored on it. Some of the stick figures on it had a smile on their faces and it made Rebecca smile. She got her slice and started eating it. Her eyes went wide. "Oh holy Ra...this cake is good!" She said. Crystal giggled. "It took a while to perfect it, but it came out pretty good." "You are an awesome baker, Crystal. I think you should open up a bakery. I'll even help with it if I have to." "That would be awesome, Rebecca! Thanks!" She smiled and they continued eating their slices of cake.
After eating cake
Chris helped Crystal put the cake in the fridge and headed into the library to sit by the fire that was lit. Michael had Rebecca's back to his chest, her sitting between his legs, his arms around her. She watched the fire spark and smiled. Crystal brought something up. "What did you wish for, Rebecca?" She asked. Rebecca turned to her and raised her eyebrow and smirked. "I can't tell you. It won't come true." Rebecca said. "What if we guess at it?" Chris asked. "No guessing. I forbid guessing at my wish." Michael moved his head to her. "Come on, Rebecca. Let us guess at it." She turned her head to see Michael's face close to hers. "Okay, fine. You guys can guess...but in your minds. Not out loud, please? If you guess out loud, then my wish won't come true." "We promise!" Crystal shouted. Crystal looked at the time and saw that it was 11pm. "Oh God. It's that late already? We should be getting some sleep." She said. Rebecca looked at the clock and saw the time, too. "Yeah, we probably should." Crystal got up and so did Chris and they went to their rooms. Rebecca tried to get up, but Michael wouldn't allow it. "Michael...we need to get some rest. Especially you, since you and Chris have rehearsals in the morning." "I know, but let's stay down here a little while longer." He said, putting his head on her shoulder. She sighed in defeat and they continued watching the fire.
After about an hour
It was almost midnight and Michael was still awake. Rebecca had fallen asleep and he carefully picked her up and carried her to the bedroom. Once Michael got into the bedroom, he put her under the covers of the bed first, then he went to change into his pajamas and got under the covers himself. Before falling asleep, he turned the light off and kissed Rebecca softly. "Goodnight, Rebecca. I love you." He whispered. He laid down and soon enough, he felt her cuddle up to him. He smiled and wrapped his arm around her and held her closer to him, putting her head on his chest. He kissed her head and soon fell asleep.
The next morning
Michael woke up around 8am and looked over at Rebecca, who was still asleep. Michael got up quietly and carefully, making sure he didn't wake her up. He got his clothes and went to change. He went back into the bedroom and left a note for her, telling her that he'd be at rehearsals and would be back later. He kissed her cheek and moved her hair out of her face. "Later, Rebecca. I love you." He whispered to her and soon left the room. Chris was out in the living room and saw Michael come down the stairs. "Ready to go?" Chris asked. "Yeah. Let's go, Chris. This is our last rehearsal day." "Yeah, it is. I can't believe it's gone by so fast." Michael nodded. "Yeah, I can't believe it either." He said as they walked out of the house. They got into Chris's car and they headed out to rehearsals.
Inside the house
Rebecca woke up to the sun hitting her face. "Ow...curses to the sunlight." She said to herself. She looked around and didn't see Michael, but she saw a note, saying: Rebecca, I've gone to the rehearsals with Chris. This is our last rehearsal day before the tour starts. Just thought I'd let you know that. Also, my gift for you is in the closet. It's wrapped in red and gold paper, so you should be able to see it. With love, Michael. She put the note down and got up and stretched before heading to his closet to find his gift to her. She went to the closet and opened it to find a box. She grabbed it and saw another note on it, saying: You must have found this present for you. I forgot to give this to you on your birthday, so I thought I'd give it to you now. Hope you like it. And I hope to see you wear it sometime. She took the box to the bed and sat down and started opening it carefully. She opened the box and saw a black and red dress with black gloves. "Oh my...this is so beautiful." She whispered, taking out the dress and gloves. She even saw a pair of black dress shoes to go along with it. She thought of a plan and hung it in the closet and waited for Michael to return home from his last day of rehearsals. She went out of the bedroom and into the living room to see Crystal, watching some television. "Bored much, Crystal?" She asked. Crystal turned around and nodded. "Pretty much, yeah." She replied. Rebecca sat down next to her and watched T.V. with her. She told Crystal about the plan she had and Crystal was in on it. They'd have to wait until Michael and Chris came home, though...so they can put the plan into action.
Upon returning home
Michael and Chris got inside and they saw signs around the house. (Me: The plan was nothing but a little prank to see how he'd react.) Rebecca knew they were inside and changed quickly into her dress and gloves and shoes, and she put one of Michael's trench coats on. She sat down on the bed with her hand on her stomach. Crystal was dressed as a doctor and had her own clipboard in her hands. Michael followed the signs and saw a sign on his door saying: Examination Room Michael's eyebrow lifted and he knocked. "Come in." Crystal said and Michael entered with Chris. "What's going on?" Michael asked. Crystal turned to Chris, who was chuckling and made sure he was quiet about it. (Me: Yeah, Chris was told about it, too.) "Well, Michael, it seems we have run a few tests on her...and, well, you're gonna be a father." She told him. Michael's eyes went wide. "She's...pregnant? But we never made love, so how is she-" He heard them chuckling. "Is there something I'm missing here?" He was so confused at what was happening. "Got'cha!!" Chris, Crystal, and Rebecca said. Michael about jumped out of his shoes. "I'm not really pregnant, Michael. It was just a harmless prank. But I do know how much you want kids of your own." Rebecca said, walking up to him. She grabbed his hand and looked at him. Crystal and Chris exited the room to let them have a little privacy. "A prank? Seems as though you three out pranked me." Michael said, smirking. "Would seem so, huh? Oh, thanks for the dress. Wanna see it?" "Sure." She took off the trench coat and showed him. He stared in shock. "Wow, you look beautiful." She giggled. She walked up and down the room, like she was a runway model. Michael decided to be his cheesy narrator self and she giggled. She soon changed out of her outfit and got into her jeans and white t-shirt. It was about 4pm and they were bored has heck. Michael took her hand in his and laced their fingers together. "Wanna watch a movie?" He asked her. She looked at him and smiled. "Sure, Michael. What movie should we watch?" "Hm...how about...Jurassic Park?" "Ooo, I love dinosaur movies." Michael smiled and they exited the room and went down into the library to watch the movie.
