About a year had passed. Mello was now a loner. He had no friends and liked it that way. They were all just lying assholes anyway… He and Matt were still roommates but they didn't talk anymore. Matt had tried for a while but eventually gave up. So the room was always filled with tense silence. Until today that is. Mello stormed down the hallway, shaking violently. He could feel everyone's eyes on him which only made him feel worse. He just found out that the new kid, Near, was now above him in every class. How? How could a little runt like him beat him with the snap of a finger? It didn't...

The last class had finally started. Thank god. Mello just wanted to go to his room and sleep. This whole ordeal had taken a toll on him. As he watched all the other students file in, he suddenly scowled seeing a familiar face. Matt... Ugh, of course he would have a class with him! That smug little sleaze ball. He just hoped he didn't pick a seat next to him and tried to pretend to be taking notes as the brunet walked by, trying to avoid eye contact. "Hey, its you!" Just his luck. He was spotted anyway.... Matt grinned as he sat beside him, "Well howdy hoe, blondie! Fancy seeing you here!"
