I love Luna and Neville- two of my most favourite characters. I so wish that they had ended up together.

I don't think Luna and Neville, they have no chemistry with each other whatsoever, I can't for the life of me understand why people are so obssessed with that couple. Its okay for you to like them obviously (people have different tastes) but I like them as just friends.

I don't get the whole Luna/Neville thing, I think they have a zero chemistry and nothing common. Just because they both are outsiders doesn't mean they belong together. Harry and Luna had such an amazing bond, she never had it with Neville. Luna was the one to make Harry better in his hardest times and they both could see what others don't see (and I'm not talking about theastrals), they speak one language. In book 5 it was Luna to make Harry feel better after Sirius death. It was Luna to believe in him when no one did, it was Luna to help him when no one helped, it was Luna not to judge him even when he was rude and desperate. In book 7 she was the one and only one to give him powers to fight the dementors. Harry/Luna are perfect for each other in my opinion.

They just made each other so happy. They understood each other, and they're exactly what the other needs. Luna can always make Harry feel better, and is often the only one who can do so. Remember when Sirius died, and NOBODY could make Harry feel better - not Ron, not Hermione, not even Dumbledore - EXCEPT Luna? Or after The Battle of Hogwarts, when Luna knew exactly what he needed? Or when he, Ron and Hermione were being attacked by dementors, and Luna was the one who came along and brought Harry the happiness he needed to produce a patronus? Or even when she was able to recognize him, despite the fact that he was disguised as someone completely different looking thanks to Polyjuice Potion, simply because she recognized his expression? Harry has often felt that Luna was the only one who could truly understand him. And Luna's life was made so much better because of Harry; he helped her to make friends and brought the DA into her life. Luna needs someone like Harry; she always has her head in the clouds, and sometimes she needs to be brought back down to earth. Also, although nobody will ever truly be able to understand her entirely, Harry can understand her better than anyone, and he always brings happiness to her. And Harry needs someone who can make him happy after all he's been through. Luna has always, always made him happy. Also, he needs someone who can help him escape from all the darkness of his reality, and who better than Luna, who can find happiness even in the very darkest of situations? (Hey, she was able to remain optimistic even as a prisoner at Malfoy Manner!) They really understand each other, and it would have been perfect <3

I feel like people only want Luna and Neville together because they are both outcasts. They are great as friends, but it would be SO awkward if they were a couple. They don't have the right chemistry to be more than friends. But people always want to put the outcasts together, no matter what. *sigh*
