~Chapter 3~
Dress Shopping
After I got ready and got my dads debit card, I headed to Jaxson's house. He was already in his car waiting. It was a bright red jeep wrangler. When I got in the passengers seat he asked "Did you get the money?"
"Not exactley." I said as I pulled out the debt card.
"Ohh... How did you convince daddy to give you that?" he said while he was pulling out of his driveway.
"I have my ways. Where are we going?"
He kept his eyes on the road. "I guess to that place in the mall."
"Great."
The rest of the ride was silent. About halfway there he turned on the radio. One of Crystal Kane's song was on. Me and Jaxson started to sing along. He looked at me, smiled, and said "Never sing in my car ever again. Like, that was horrible."
"Hey, I wouldn't be talking if I were you. You sound like a whale giving birth."
"It's better than a dying cat."
When we got to the mall, we went strait to the dress store, Prom-ises. I grabbed like three dresses and headed to the dressing room.
My first one was bright red with white polka-dots. I walked out and twirled in front of Jaxson. "Do you like?"
"Yea, if we were going to a costume party. Go get a different dress on."
I ran back and changed into the second dress. It was long, silky, and dark green. I stood in front of him and said "What about this one?"
He stared at me for a minute then said "I don't know. It brings out your eyes but I want to see the last one."
"Alright." I mumble as I walk back to go get the last dress on.
The last one was a dark blue, but a black ribbon around the waist. The dress was about at my knee. It was gathered at the bottom. When Jaxson saw me he said "I really like that one."
I looked at the tag. $75.00. Dad would like it too. "I like it too, but do you think its to short?"
"I think its to long." he says as he wiggles his eye brows.
"Very funny." I say as I go back to change into my clothes.
After I pay for the dress, Jaxson asks me "Are you hungery?"
I look at him. "To be honest... I'm starving."
"Where do you want to go?"
"Where ever... It doesn't matter."
He thought for a second then said "How about subway?"
"That sounds great."
We rode over to subway. Got our subs and ended up at the movies. After the movies, we went to the park. At about six, he dropped me off at my house. "Looks like the special broadcast is about to come on. Are you going to watch it?"
I said "Yeah, I probably have to."
"Well, thanks again Summer for coming to the prom with me. It means a lot."
"No problem. You would probably do the same thing for me."
"Yea... I might have. Well, see ya later, Summer."
"Bye, Jaxson."
I watch the car as it goes a few houses up and turns into the driveway. I knew I was falling for my best friend. What a surprise.
~Chapter 4~
Stupid TV Broadcast
As soon as I walked in, my mom said "Summer, you got hear just in time. The broadcast about to come on."
I sit on the love seat. Then I hears a loud voice booming from the TV. "This broadcast is required for everyone to watch. People who are not watching will be punished."
I heard my dad from across the room say "Here we go."
That's when the president, Joe Brownstene shows up and says "You have been informed that everyone over the age of eighteen and under the age of sixty-five is being sent to war. This will take action the day after tomorrow. We will gather everyone in the age group at six o'clock PM."
Everyone in my whole family sighed. Stupid government. Stupid president. He continued "We will be evacuating everyone that lives in one of the border states of Canada. After we evacuate everyone we will send the men there to fight. The women will be sent to buildings and act as caretakers for the sick or wounded."
The united states is in a war with Canada. A month ago, Canadian war planes flew over Alaska and sent three huge bombs down. The whole state is in ruins. There was only about one hundred thousand survivors. Which is really bad cause before the attack, there was three hundred thousand people living. {No offense to the Canadians reading this. If there is any. I just needed some reason to have a war. That was not iraq or anything to do with those terrorist. ~LoveDreamer95}
"All the kids, who don't have a older sibling over the age of fourteen, will be sent to another house with other children. Each house will have a leader, which will be oldest child. Selected adults will have to watch a street. These select adults will act as leaders of the neighborhood. No child will be left alone. The max capacity of kids in each house is five."
"Just peachy." I muttered. "Like I need little kids in this house."
That's when my mom said "Everything will be okay. It will all be fine honey."
I knew she was lying. I could tell. Since it looked like she was one the verge of crying. I felt sorry for her. Now dad was just sitting there letting it all sink in. Probably trying to find a loophole. "Everything is not going to be okay. We should at least face the facts, not ignore them. You are both going to war and I will probably never see you too ever again."
I felt a tears run down my cheeks. "That's not true." my dad said as he pulls me into a hug. "We will see each other again. Now let's not waist our time crying. We should at least try to be happy."
Dad was right. When bad things happen don't just sit there and cry. You try to make the best of it.

It seems like heartbreak will be the only aspect of love I'll ever be acquainted with and the girls that break my heart will be the only ones I fall for. I know I can be kinda shallow but I want someone who I can think to myself "she's gorgeous". It seems as if I'll never have that. Even if I'm willing to give up my individuality, be manipulated and abused by them they will still only end up leaving me. It almost seems as if love is mocking me or maybe it's my own personal problems. Does anybody else feel like a relationship is there reason for being happy rather than it just being a bonus? I never feel complete and I think I'll never feel true happy unless I find a relationship. </3
In the morning when I wake up
And I open up my eyes,
I feel an aching in my heart
That's when I realize.
How much I really miss you
And long to have you near.
My heart is filled with sadness,
And my eyes are filled with tears.
At different times through out the day,
I find I'm missing you.
And I wonder if, perhaps a bit,
Maybe you miss me too.
I miss you in the shower,
When I'm in there all alone.
And when I want to hear your voice,
And call you on the phone.
When I check my e-mail
And find there's nothing there.
I can't help it that I worry,
And I put you in my prayers.
I think by now it's safe to say,
That I miss you very much,
And my heart will never be the same
Since it suffered Cupids touch.
And I open up my eyes,
I feel an aching in my heart
That's when I realize.
How much I really miss you
And long to have you near.
My heart is filled with sadness,
And my eyes are filled with tears.

i look into your eye
you look away in shame
i can't belive that you my love
played such a mean game
i thought that your love pure
but i was wrong
the lyrics to this song
were all wrong
couldn't you see the love
in my eyes
how could you fall for
another girl's lies
my life had revolved only around you
but now i feel like my heart
is broken in two
i miss your smile
more than i miss mine
i rember our first kiss
which was so bliss
that moment was so perfect
a time i'l never forget
everynight when i close my eyes
i see your face
i came to know late
that love doesn't come free
you have to pay
i'll wait for that day
when we will once again
go on dates
and be happy and glad
i will wait for you
TILL MY HEART STOPS BEATING
i will wait......
