should i give up or wait, i might be moving far away please help i like him a lot :)

ok, well i told the guy i like that i like him and that i would give him space, he first words after that were no, dont go i just want to say im not into teenage relationships, but OBVIOUSLY were friends. i'm cool with that cas im probably moving interstate and i just wanted to tell him, but we were talking more and im ont sure wether to move on or wait a bit, i really like him but i dont know whats best. he is a lovely guy and really understanding please help!
