Absolutely age is just a number. I asked my 94 year old grandmother at the time how old she felt and she said, "24!" I laughed and asked her why. She said that was the age her mind was, and just where she stopped as far as how she thinks. She was a wonderfil grandmother.

I think time does imbue a sense of being tried, of having been tested and proven. Sometimes there is a wide gap between say 13 and 24... (though you could not have told me that at the time! lol), but as we grow up I find I have friends as old as their 70's or + and they treat me as a "friend" and I have friends who are 15 or younger. For awhile it was all people older than me up to 25 years older, then I had some my own age, and it has now just been jumbled to be whatever the same if that is how we relate. :) It is pretty special. I look at the person, not the age. If they act immature, maybe they have not lived life long enough, but I've seen some older peers act very poorly for their age as far as that they SHOULD know better or whatever. So it really depends.
