How do I deal with a player?

Ok, so there's this guy I've known for 3 years, and since the beginning of this year, he's been giving me a lot of attention (I'm really shy so not many guys approach me). He always sits in the chair next to me in the class we have together and sits a bit too close... He pushes his way through large crowds at school just to say hi and walk next to me when he's supposed to be going in the other direction. He's always trying to make me laugh. I've noticed that he compliments me everday, opens doors for me, and I've also noticed that he often touches my hair/my hands...he's even kissed my hand before...
Now the problem is, that he's a player. He's always chatting to girls, trying to be funny infront of them, but, I know for a fact that he's never had a girlfriend.
So, what should I do? Should I tell him to back off or just go with the flow? I'm a real noob when it comes to boys since I'm so shy, so some advice would be nice :P

You have 2 options LOL, one is telling him you know who he is and what he is trying to do, because I have met guys like that before and they usually target the shy girls because the shy girls don't usually get the attention the other girls get, so it's sort of easier in their heads.

Your second option would be just going with the flow. I mean unless he physically or somehow mentally forces himself on you, you can just let it be and just go with the flow.

Lol, thanks for the advice ^^ I forgot to mention, but something that makes this situation even more difficult is the fact that he's absolutely gorgeous =^^= But yeah, I know this is a game he's playing, as hard as it is to admit. So messing with his head just might be fun XD
