Because love is such a strong feeling that it causes so many other feelings. your putting yourself on the line with love, setting youself up either for defeat or many other things, and thats never an easy thing to do. lvoe make you feel so much that of course its difficult. you dont want to get hurt but you slowly eating yourself up. its just something you have to learn from, i;ve made many mistakes with love and the more i do, the more i learn and the less difficult one aspect of it becomes.
